中国式现代化是中心任务。党的中心任务就是以中国式现代化全面推进中华民族伟大复兴。全面建设社会主义现代化国家，一个民族都不能少。中国式现代化也必然是铸牢中华民族共同体意识与发展新质生产力融合促进民族地区高质量发展的中心任务。这就要求我们必须把改善民生、凝聚人心作为民族地区经济社会发展的出发点和落脚点，推动民族地区融入新发展格局、实现高质量发展。要发挥好人口规模巨大的现代化的独特优势，夯实各族人民共同富裕的现代化的思想基础，构建物质文明和精神文明相协调的互动机制，注重人与自然和谐共生的现代化，贡献走和平发展道路的现代化的中国方案，让56个民族共同团结奋斗、共建美好家园、共享发展成果、共拥绿色生态环境、共同构建人类命运共同体。
