Academy of Marxism Wins “Chinese Academy of Social Sciences 2012 Outstanding Policy Information Organization Award”

On the afternoon of September 23, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences 2012 Outstanding Policy Information Award Commendation Conference was held in the academy’s First Academic Lecture Hall. The Academy of Marxism won the Outstanding Policy Information Organization Award, and at the same time 18 works from the Academy of Marxism received the “Chinese Academy of Social Sciences 2012 Outstanding Policy Information Award.” This award indicates that the Academy of Marxism has made notable progress in playing the role of a think tank and brain trust, and has achieved outstanding results in comprehensively and earnestly implementing the “Three Orientations.” [1]1 The “Three Orientations” (三个定位) refers to the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ positioning of its institutes as the Party’s and government’s think tank, the academic high ground of Marxist theory, and the highest national comprehensive research center in philosophy and social sciences.
