☆ Deng Chundong: On the morning of July 24, attended a meeting of the Party Building Research Office of the Central Organization Department. On September 3, lectured on the mass-line education issue for the Armed Police Academy. On July 25, received Comrade Guo Cuilian, Vice Chairperson of the Nanping Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference in Fujian Province, and other comrades. On September 25, attended the publication symposium for the new book *The Theory of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics on Women* by the All-China Women’s Federation. ☆ Fan Jianxin: On July 9, attended the publication symposium for *Inquiry: Research on Social Trends of Thought and Youth Ideological and Political Education since Reform and Opening Up* at Tsinghua University. On the afternoon of September 26, received Jørgen Randers, senior member of the Club of Rome and one of the authors of *The Limits to Growth*. ☆ Cheng Enfu: On the morning of July 5, delivered a keynote speech at the “Globalization and East Asian Cultural Economy International Symposium” jointly organized by the School of Marxism of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Kyungsang University of South Korea; in the afternoon, gave a report to the Party Committee Central Group and middle-level cadres of Shanghai Jiao Tong University on the theme “The Chinese Dream and the Chinese Institutional Model,” and was appointed academic advisor to the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Research Center for Marxism. On September 6, met with a delegation led by Professor Mario Doel of the University of Buenos Aires, an Argentine Marxist scholar. On September 9, attended the founding ceremony of the “Research Center for *Capital* and Contemporary Issues” at Tsinghua University and delivered a keynote speech. On September 12, met with a delegation led by Professor Watanabe Masao, a Japanese Marxist sociologist. On September 25, invited by Comrade Hu Chunhua, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, gave a report to the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee Central Group and over 300 leading cadres at the department and bureau level, on the theme: “Interpreting the Spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s Series of Important Speeches.” On the morning of September 26, gave a report to the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee Central Group and 300 leading cadres at the department and bureau level, on the same theme. July 12–14, chaired the “National Theoretical Symposium on Historical Materialism and the Path to National Rejuvenation,” co-organized by the Chinese Historical Materialism Society and Guizhou University.
