Activities of the Leaders of the Academy of Marxism and the Members of the Academic Division of Marxism in the Second Quarter

☆ Deng Chundong: On April 1, convened a plenary meeting of the Academy of Marxism to convey the spirit of Central Party documents; signed contracts with chief experts of the Innovation Project. Held discussions with the president of Zhejiang People’s Publishing House and others on relevant work matters. On April 12, participated in the First Mao Zedong Thought Forum, co-organized by the Academy of Marxism and the Institute of Contemporary China, and delivered the opening address. On April 16, at the Miyun Training Center, gave a guidance report to the training class for leading cadres of departmental and bureau-level offices of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences on studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important speeches. On April 21–22, went to Zhejiang to participate in a research and survey meeting. On April 23, met with Hu Chidi, Deputy Director of the Ningbo Education Bureau, and others to discuss matters such as project cooperation. On May 26, at the invitation of the Propaganda Department of the Beijing Municipal Committee, delivered a special report on “Cultivating Core Socialist Values.” On May 28, participated in a symposium convened by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee in Beijing and delivered remarks. On June 9–11, at the invitation of the Propaganda Department of the Guizhou Provincial Committee, attended and spoke at the Academic Seminar on Core Socialist Values jointly organized by the Guizhou Provincial Committee Propaganda Department and the People’s Daily. On June 11, following instructions from the leadership of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, delivered a special guidance report to the staff and workers of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee on studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important speeches. ☆邓纯东：4月1日，召开马研院全体人员大会，传达中央文件精神；与创新工程首席专家签约。与浙江人民出版社社长等座谈，商讨有关工作事宜。4月12日，参加由马研院和当代中国所承办的第一届毛泽东思想论坛，并致开幕词。4月16日，在密云培训中心，为社科院处室领导干部学习贯彻习近平总书记系列重要讲话精神培训班做辅导报告。4月21～22日，赴浙江参加调研会议。4月23日，会见宁波教育局副局长胡赤弟一行，就项目合作等事宜进行商谈。5月26日，应北京市委宣传部邀请，做关于《培育社会主义核心价值观》专题报告会。5月28日，在京参加中共中央组织部召开的座谈会，并发言。6月9～11日，应贵州省委宣传部邀请，出席贵州省委宣传部和人民日报社联合举办的社会主义核心价值观学术研讨会，并发言。6月11日，根据社科院领导指示，为中共中央办公厅秘书局干部职工做学习贯彻习近平总书记系列重要讲话精神专题辅导报告。6月24日，与中国人民大学书报资料中心主任武宝瑞同志商谈《马克思主义文摘》合作事宜。

☆ Fan Jianxin: From April 8 to 12, participated in a research trip to Shaanxi on anti-corruption and clean governance led by Zhang Yingwei, head of the Discipline Inspection Group stationed at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. On April 24, discussed cooperation on research concerning national cultural leadership with the director of the Beijing Institute of Social and Cultural Development. On May 20, attended the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ meeting on maintaining stability. In the afternoon, chaired the forum “Studying the Series of Important Speeches of General Secretary Xi Jinping,” jointly convened by the Academy of Marxism, Zhejiang Publishing United Group, and Guangxi Normal University Press Group. On June 8, chaired a seminar on tracking dynamic hotspots in ideological theory at Hubei Hotel. On June 13, participated in the Fifth High-Level Forum on the Study of China’s Cultural Soft Power, jointly organized by the Academy of Marxism, the China Cultural Soft Power Research Center, the Theoretical Department of People’s Daily, the Theoretical Department of Guangming Daily, and the Chinese Social Sciences Today. On June 18, attended the publication and launch event for the book *Memoirs of the Development of Chinese Philosophy and Social Sciences*.

☆樊建新：4月8～12日，参加由中央纪委驻院纪检组张英伟组长带队的反腐倡廉课题组赴陕西调研。4月24日，与北京社会文化发展研究所所长商谈关于国家文化领导权研究合作事宜。5月20日，参加中国社科院维稳工作会议。下午，主持马研院与浙江出版联合集团、广西师范大学出版社集团有限公司联合召开的“学习习近平总书记系列重要讲话”论坛。6月8日，在湖北大厦主持召开思想理论热点动态跟踪课题研讨会。6月13日，参加马研院与中国文化软实力研究中心、人民日报理论部、光明日报理论部、中国社会科学报联合召开的第五届中国文化软实力研究高层论坛会议。6月18日，参加《中国哲学社会科学发展历程回忆》一书出版发行会。

☆ Cheng Enfu: On April 1, gave an interview to Danish National Television on the issue of China’s family planning policy. On April 4, delivered a report at the Party School of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee on the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important speeches on reform and opening up. On April 10, met with the president of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and a deputy director-general of the Ministry of Finance. On April 22, met with Professor Michael Brie of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation in Germany. On April 24, attended a meeting convened by the Beijing Association for Science and Technology and the Beijing Federation of Social Science Circles, and was appointed as a “Consultant to the Joint Conference of the Two Circles.” From April 27 to May 8, at the invitation of the University of Mexico, which covered the costs, attended an international forum and delivered a lecture on culture and ideology at the Cuban Philosophical Society (headquartered at the University of Havana). From May 9 to 11, chaired the annual meeting of the National Economic Law Research Association and the meeting of its president and secretary-general at Henan University of Economics and Law. From June 7 to 8, chaired the final review meeting at Jingxi Hotel for the publication fund of the General Administration of Press and Publication on book and audio-visual projects funded under the spirit of the Third Plenary Session. On June 18, delivered a report at the Chinese Academy of Governance to a class of mayors on the seven major social trends of thought in contemporary China.

☆程恩富：4月1日，接受丹麦国家电视台采访，内容是关于中国计划生育问题。4月4日，在中共中央办公厅党校作关于习近平总书记改革开放一系列重要讲话精神解读的报告。4月10，会见上海财大校长和财政部副司长一行。4月22日，会见德国卢森堡基金会迈克尔•布里教授。4月24日，出席北京市科协和社科联召开的会议，被聘为“两界联席会议顾问”。4月27日～5月8日，应邀出席墨西哥大学支付费用所召开的国际论坛，在古巴哲学学会（会址为哈瓦那大学）作关于文化与意识形态的演讲。5月9～11日，在河南财经政法大学主持召开全国经济规律研究会年会和会长秘书长会议。6月7～8日，在京西宾馆主持新闻出版署出版基金关于三中全会精神图书音像项目资助终审会。6月18日，在国家行政学院给市长班作关于当前我国七大社会思潮的报告。

☆ Li Chongfu: On May 16, participated in a working meeting on “Research on the Basic Views of Marxist Classical Writers’ Works” convened by the Central Compilation and Translation Bureau, discussing publication arrangements for research results. On May 27, chaired a meeting of the secretariat of the Chinese Society of Historical Materialism to review submitted papers for the 2014 academic annual conference. On June 12, chaired a meeting of the president’s office of the Chinese Society of Historical Materialism to discuss preparations for the society’s seventh member congress and leadership transition. On June 18, was invited to give lectures at the School of Marxism of Central China Normal University. On June 19, was invited to give lectures at Huanggang Normal University. On the morning of June 20, was invited to give lectures at the School of Marxism of Wuhan University; in the afternoon, was invited to give lectures at Hubei University.

☆李崇富：5月16日，参加中央编译局召开的“马克思主义经典作家著作基本观点研究”工作会议，商量研究成果出版事宜。5月27日，主持中国历史唯物主义学会秘书处为召开2014年学术年会应征论文审稿会议。6月12日，主持中国历史唯物主义学会会长办公会议，商议学会召开第七届会员代表大会进行换届的筹备事宜。6月18日，应邀到华中师范大学马克思主义学院讲学。6月19日，应邀到黄冈师范学院讲学。6月20日上午，应邀到武汉大学马克思主义学院讲学；下午，应邀到湖北大学讲学。
