The Academy of Marxism Holds a Symposium on the "Party's Mass Line Education and Practice Campaign"

On the morning of August 9, Comrade Deng Chundong, Party Secretary and President, presided over the "Symposium on the Party's Mass Line Education and Practice Campaign" in Conference Room 1011.

8月9日上午，党委书记、院长邓纯东同志在1011会议室主持召开“党的群众路线教育实践活动研讨会”。

The theme of the symposium was: to carry out the education and practice campaign well, to further strengthen work style construction, and to advance the Innovation Project and other various tasks. At the meeting, representatives from five research departments, the *Marxist Studies* editorial office, and the Academy of Marxism's administrative organs, totaling seven people, delivered written speeches. They reported on the progress of the education and practice campaign in their respective departments, spoke freely about their understanding of the importance, necessity, and urgency of the education and practice campaign, and, in light of the actual conditions of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Academy of Marxism, put forward some very valuable reflections and suggestions.

研讨会的主题是：搞好教育实践活动，进一步加强作风建设，推进创新工程及其他各项工作。会上，5个研究部、《马克思主义研究》编辑部及马研院机关代表共7人作书面发言。大家汇报了本部门的教育实践活动的开展情况，畅谈了对教育实践活动重要性、必要性和紧迫性的认识，结合社科院、马研院的实际提出了一些很有价值的思考和建议。

Finally, Comrade Deng Chundong delivered a summary. He pointed out that this symposium had been a great success and had achieved the expected results. He demanded that all departments, in accordance with the Party Committee's deployment, solidly and thoroughly implement the tasks of each subsequent link. In particular, the Academy of Marxism must consciously assume its own social responsibility, actively leverage its strengths, write weighty theoretical articles, make its voice heard in society, guide public opinion with correct theoretical viewpoints, and provide theoretical support for the entire Party to carry out the education and practice campaign well.

最后，邓纯东同志进行了总结。他指出，这次研讨会开得很成功，收到了预期效果。他要求，各部门要按照党委部署，扎扎实实落实好接下来各个环节的工作任务。特别是，马研院要自觉地承担起自己的社会责任，积极发挥优势，撰写出有分量的理论文章，在社会上发出自己的声音，以正确的理论观点引导社会舆论，为全党搞好教育实践活动提供了理论支持。

Nearly 30 people attended the meeting, including heads of the Academy of Marxism's research departments, research offices, and editorial offices, as well as division-level cadres from the administrative organs.
