The Party Committee of the Academy of Marxism Holds a Thematic Study and Discussion Meeting

On the morning of July 31, 2013, Deng Chundong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Academy of Marxism, presided over a thematic study and discussion meeting on the "Party's Mass Line Education and Practice Campaign." [1]1 The "Party's Mass Line Education and Practice Campaign" was a Party-wide campaign launched by the CPC in 2013, focusing on improving Party conduct, maintaining close ties with the masses, and opposing formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism, and extravagance. Attendees included Cheng Enfu, Fan Jianxin, Zhang Zuying, Xia Chuntao, Xu Wenhua, and Comrade Liao Gang, a member of the Third Supervisory Group of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

2013年7月31日上午，马研院党委书记邓纯东主持召开“党的群众路线教育实践活动”专题学习研讨会，程恩富、樊建新、张祖英、夏春涛、徐文华及中国社科院第三督导组成员廖刚同志到会。

The meeting focused on studying General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech at the work conference on the Party's mass line education and practice campaign on June 18, 2013, and Comrade Wang Weiguang's speech at the mobilization meeting for the same campaign at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences on May 10, 2013. Comrade Deng Chundong pointed out that everyone had already studied these two important speeches individually, and the basic spirit of the speeches had been conveyed at the Academy of Marxism's mobilization meeting. However, overall, the study was not yet deep enough. This study session was mainly intended to conduct in-depth study and discussion, to deeply grasp their spiritual essence.

会议专题学习了2013年6月18日习近平总书记在党的群众路线教育实践活动工作会议上的讲话、2013年5月10日王伟光同志在中国社科院党的群众路线教育实践活动动员大会上的讲话精神。邓纯东同志指出，对这两个重要讲话，大家此前已经分头学习过，讲话基本精神在马研院的动员大会上也已经进行传达，但总的来看，学习还不够深入，这次学习主要是要进行深入的学习研讨，深刻把握其精神实质。

After study and discussion, everyone agreed that these two speeches are very important and have significant guiding significance for our in-depth implementation of this education and practice campaign. The Academy of Marxism must earnestly implement the spirit of the speeches. All leading comrades should take the initiative and lead by example, solidly and practically deepening the education and practice campaign, making it a powerful driving force for advancing the work of the Academy of Marxism.

经过学习研讨，大家一致认为，这两个讲话非常重要，对我们深入开展本次教育实践活动具有重要的指导意义。马研院要认真落实讲话精神，各位领导同志要积极带头，扎扎实地把教育实践活动引向深入，使之成为推荐马研院工作的巨大动力。
