Deng Chundong Attends the Fourth Academic Forum on Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context and Delivers a Speech

On August 16, 2013, the Research Department on Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context of the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, together with the School of Marxism of Jilin University, held the “Fourth Academic Forum on Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context” at Jilin University, with the theme “Mao Zedong and Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context.”

2013年8月16日，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院马克思主义中国化研究部与吉林大学马克思主义学院，以“毛泽东与马克思主义中国化”为主题，在吉林大学举办了“第四届马克思主义中国化学术论坛”。

Comrade Deng Chundong, President and Party Secretary of the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, attended the forum and delivered a speech. In his speech, Comrade Deng Chundong pointed out that Mao Zedong was the pioneer and founder of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context, and that he made outstanding historical contributions to advancing the adaptation of Marxism to the Chinese context and to opening up the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The forum, with its theme “Mao Zedong and Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context,” carries strong practical and theoretical significance.
