The Academy of Marxism Holds a Seminar on Studying the Spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee

On the afternoon of 19 November 2013, the Academy of Marxism held a seminar on studying the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the CPC. The meeting was presided over by Comrade Deng Chundong, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Academy of Marxism, and was attended by over 100 members of the Academy of Marxism.

2013年11月19日下午，马克思主义研究院举行党的十八届三中全会精神学习研讨会。会议由马克思主义研究院党委书记、院长邓纯东同志主持，马克思主义研究院全体人员共100余人参加。

At the seminar, the following comrades delivered exchange speeches: Professor Hu Leming, Director of the Department of Marxist Principles Research at the Academy of Marxism; Researcher Jin Minqing, Head of the Department of Research on Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context; Researcher Xin Xiangyang, Head of the Department of Research on the Development of Marxism; Researcher Liu Shuchun, Director of the Department of Research on the International Communist Movement; Researcher Feng Yanli, Head of the Department of Research on Marxism Abroad; and Deputy Senior Editor Liu Dezhong of the *Research on Marxism* Editorial Office, representing the Journal and Network Center.

马克思主义研究院马克思主义原理研究部主任胡乐明教授、马克思主义中国化研究部负责人金民卿研究员、马克思主义发展研究部负责人辛向阳研究员）、国际共产主义运动研究部主任刘淑春研究员、国外马克思主义研究部负责人冯颜利研究员，期刊网络中心代表、《马克思主义研究》编辑部刘德中副编审，在会上进行了交流发言。

Deng Chundong pointed out that since the convening of the Third Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee, everyone had promptly studied it in accordance with the requirements of the Party Committee. Judging from today’s speeches, everyone had already basically grasped the spiritual essence of the plenum’s decision and had gained a relatively profound understanding of the significance of comprehensively deepening reform and its overall layout.

邓纯东指出，十八届三中全会召开后，大家按照党委要求及时进行了学习，从今天的发言看，大家已经基本把握了全会决定的精神实质，对全面深化改革的重要意义及总体布局有了较为深刻的认识。

Deng Chundong demanded that, in the next step, while the Party Committee of the Academy of Marxism arranges institute-wide study and discussion, each Party branch must also promptly organize study. On the basis of in-depth study, the broad masses of researchers, especially department leaders and research backbone, should, through writing theoretical articles and academic reports and other forms, do a good job of interpreting and publicizing the plenum’s decision, actively making the voice of the Academy of Marxism heard.

邓纯东要求，下一步，在马研院党委安排全院性学习研讨的同时，各支部也要抓紧组织学习。广大科研人员尤其是部门领导、科研骨干，要在深入学习的基础上，通过撰写理论文章、学术报告等形式，做好全会决定的解读、宣传工作，积极地发出马研院的声音。
