First International Forum on Socialism and the Seventh International Thinkers Forum Held in Beijing

From February 28 to March 1, 2013, the "First International Forum on Socialism and the Seventh International Thinkers Forum" was held at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, co-organized by the Marxist Research Division of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Institute of Marxism, the National Research Center for Cultural Security and Ideological Construction, the Lao Academy of Social Sciences, and the Institute of Philosophy of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences. The theme of this forum was "Socialist Ideological and Cultural Construction in the Process of Globalization."

2013年2月28日至3月1日，由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究学部、马克思主义研究院、国家文化安全与意识形态建设研究中心，老挝国家社会科学院，越南社会科学院哲学所共同主办的“首届社会主义国际论坛暨第七届国际思想家论坛”在中国社会科学院召开。本届论坛的主题为“全球化进程中的社会主义思想文化建设”。

More than 60 experts and scholars from Vietnam, Laos, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Cuba, as well as from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Jilin University, Tsinghua University, Guangxi University, Shanxi University of Finance and Economics, and Guizhou Tongren University attended the forum. Li Shenming, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, attended and delivered an important speech. Cheng Enfu, Director of the Marxist Research Division and President of the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Alberto Blanco Silva, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to China, delivered opening remarks. Nearly 20 well-known scholars from relevant fields at home and abroad, including Hou Huiqin, Director of the National Research Center for Cultural Security and Ideological Construction of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Khamphone Bounnady, Vice President of the Lao Academy of Social Sciences; Pham Van Duc, Director of the Institute of Philosophy of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences; Kim Yong-jin, Associate Professor at Kim Il-sung University of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea; Xu Shicheng, Honorary Member of the Academic Division of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Han Xiping, Dean of the School of Marxism at Liaoning University; and Fang Songhua, Executive Deputy Director of the China Marxist Research Center of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, delivered speeches at the forum. Deng Chundong, Party Secretary of the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, presided over the opening ceremony, and Fan Jianxin, Vice President of the Institute, delivered the closing remarks.

来自越南、老挝、朝鲜、古巴以及中国社会科学院、上海社会科学院、吉林大学、清华大学、广西大学、山西财经学院、贵州铜仁学院等科研单位的60多位专家学者出席了本届论坛。中国社会科学院副院长李慎明出席并作重要讲话。中国社科院马研学部主任、马研院院长程恩富，古巴共和国驻华大使白诗德分别在开幕式上致辞。中国社科院国家文化安全与意识形态建设研究中心主任侯惠勤、老挝国家社会科学院副院长坎蓬•本纳迪、越南社会科学院哲学所所长范文德、朝鲜金日成综合大学副教授金龙镇、中国社科院荣誉学部委员徐世澄、辽宁大学马克思主义学院院长韩喜平、上海社科院中国马克思主义研究中心常务副主任方松华等近20位国内外相关领域的知名学者在会上作了发言。中国社科院马研院党委书记邓纯东主持开幕式，副院长樊建新致闭幕词。

This forum was divided into five special topics for discussion, including: socialist ideological and cultural construction, socialist cultural security, theoretical innovation in socialist culture, promoting the characteristics of national culture, and promoting cultural exchange and integration. Focusing on these themes, the participating scholars engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions.

本届论坛分五个专题进行研讨，包括：社会主义思想文化建设、社会主义文化安全、社会主义文化理论创新、弘扬民族文化特色、促进文化交流与融合。围绕上述主题，与会学者展开了深入交流和讨论。
