On October 6, President and Party Secretary Deng Chundong Attends the China-Central and Eastern Europe Political Parties Dialogue and Delivers a Speech

On October 6, 2016, local time, the China-Central and Eastern Europe Political Parties Dialogue was held in Budapest, Hungary. Liu Yunshan, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Secretariat, attended the dialogue and delivered a keynote speech titled "Advancing the Belt and Road Initiative and the '16+1 Cooperation' to Benefit the People of China and Central and Eastern Europe Together." [1]1 The "16+1 Cooperation" refers to the cooperation framework between China and 16 Central and Eastern European countries, established in 2012. It was later expanded to "17+1" with the inclusion of Greece in 2019. Viktor Orbán, Chairman of the Hungarian Fidesz Party and Prime Minister of Hungary, and Vojtěch Filip, Deputy Speaker of the Czech Chamber of Deputies and Chairman of the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia, along with other political party leaders from Central and Eastern Europe, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

当地时间2016年10月6日，中国-中东欧政党对话会在匈牙利布达佩斯举行。中共中央政治局常委、中共中央书记处书记刘云山出席对话会，并发表题为《推进“一带一路”建设与“16＋1合作”携手造福中国和中东欧人民》的主旨讲话。匈牙利青民盟主席、政府总理欧尔班，捷克众议院副议长、捷摩共主席菲利普等中东欧政党领导人出席开幕式并致辞。

This dialogue was co-hosted by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations of Hungary. It was the first political party dialogue platform within the framework of the "16+1 Cooperation," with the theme "The Belt and Road Initiative and the '16+1 Cooperation': The Responsibility and Role of Political Parties." Approximately 200 participants attended, including representatives of political parties from China and the 16 Central and Eastern European countries, think tank scholars, and representatives of diplomatic envoys stationed in Hungary.

本次对话会由中共中央对外联络部和匈牙利外交与对外经济部主办，是“16＋1合作”框架内首个政党对话平台，主题是《“一带一路”建设与“16＋1合作”：政党的责任和作用》。来自中国和中东欧16国的政党代表、智库学者以及驻匈牙利外交使节代表等约200人参加。

Deng Chundong, President and Party Secretary of the Academy of Marxism at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, was invited to attend the meeting and delivered a keynote speech. The speech primarily introduced the situation of the CPC's Party building after the 18th National Congress of the CPC and the important spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speeches on comprehensive and strict governance of the Party. [2]2 The 18th National Congress of the CPC was held in November 2012, marking the beginning of Xi Jinping's leadership as General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee.

中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院院长、党委书记邓纯东应邀参加会议并做主题发言。发言主要介绍了十八大后中国共产党自身建设情况和习近平总书记关于全面从严治党的重要讲话精神。
