October 24: Dean and Party Secretary Deng Chundong Presides over Report by General Secretary of the Italian Communist Party

On October 24, 2016, at the invitation of Comrade Deng Chundong, Dean and Party Secretary of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, a delegation of three — Mauro Alboresi, General Secretary of the Italian Communist Party; Francesco Maringiò, member of the Central Committee; and Andrea Catone, editor-in-chief of the journal *Marx in the 21st Century* — came to the Academy of Marxism to deliver a detailed report on the political and economic situation in Europe after the disintegration of the Soviet Union and the drastic changes in Eastern Europe, the programmatic propositions and foreign policy of the newly reorganized Italian Communist Party (June 2016), and the main understandings and views of the Italian Left regarding socialism with Chinese characteristics. All research personnel of the Academy of Marxism attended the report and engaged in relatively deep and lively exchanges of ideas with the Italian guests.

2016年10月24日，意大利共产党总书记玛乌洛·阿尔伯莱西，中央委员会委员弗朗切斯科·马林乔，《二十一世纪马克思》杂志主编安德烈·卡托内一行三人，应中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院院长、党委书记邓纯东同志的邀请，来到马研院就苏东剧变后欧洲的政治经济形势、2016年6月重组的新意共的纲领主张及对外政策以及意大利左翼对中国特色社会主义的主要认识和看法等主题，做了内容详实的报告。马研院全体科研人员参加了此次报告会，并与各位意大利来宾进行了比较深入且精彩的思想碰撞与交流。
