Chinese and Russian Scholars Jointly Explore New Models of Socioeconomic Development

Xinhua News Agency, Moscow, June 8 (Reporter Wang Chendi) The fourth series of international seminars under the "China, Russia, Central and Eastern Europe Development Strategy Forum" opened in Moscow on the 7th. The theme of this conference was "Exploration of New Models of Socioeconomic Development."

新华社莫斯科6月8日电（记者王晨笛）第四届“中国、俄罗斯、中东欧发展战略论坛”系列国际研讨会7日在莫斯科开幕。本次会议主题为“新的社会经济发展模式的探索”。

Deng Chundong, President of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Lianchuk, Director of the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Social Sciences, and over 50 experts and scholars from research institutes and universities of the two countries attended the conference.

中国社会科学院马列主义研究院院长邓纯东、俄罗斯社会科学院经济研究所所长连丘克，以及两国科研院所专家、高校学者等50余人参加了会议。

In his opening address, Deng Chundong stated that China and Russia maintain good relations, with mutual understanding and mutual support on major international affairs, which is the prerequisite for academic exchange and cooperation between the two countries. Currently, both countries are in an important period of development, and their socioeconomic development faces different challenges. China hopes to understand Russia's socioeconomic development strategy and is also willing to introduce China's development model to the Russian side, hoping that scholars from both countries can learn from each other to promote socioeconomic development in both countries.

邓纯东在开幕式致辞时表示，中俄两国保持着良好的关系，双方在重大国际事务中相互理解相互支持，这是两国学术界进行交流合作的前提。当前，两国都处在发展的重要时期，双方社会经济发展都正面临着不同的挑战，中方希望了解俄罗斯的社会经济发展战略，同时也愿意向俄方介绍中国的发展模式，希望两国学者相互借鉴，促进两国社会经济发展。

Lianchuk stated that the exchange on socioeconomic issues between the two sides is of great significance. For the Russian side, China's experience is very important because China has become a country driven by innovation and is continuously expanding its market for high-tech products. China's economy is undergoing sustainable development. Currently, Russia is seeking new models of economic development and urgently needs to break free from dependence on resource exports. Against this backdrop, China and Russia can cooperate in many areas.

连丘克表示，双方对社会经济问题的交流具有重要意义。对俄方来说，中国的经验是十分重要的，因为中国已经成为以创新驱动发展的国家，并且正在不断扩大自己的高科技产品市场。中国的经济正在可持续的发展。当前，俄罗斯在寻找新的经济发展模式，亟需摆脱对资源出口的依赖。在此背景下，中俄两国可以在很多领域开展合作。

At the conference, experts and scholars from both countries discussed issues such as Eurasian transit transportation, the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, and how to formulate socioeconomic development strategies.

会上，两国专家学者就欧亚中转运输、21世纪海上丝绸之路、如何制定社会经济发展战略等问题展开探讨。
