August 5–11: Third National "Introduction to the Basic Principles of Marxism" Intensive Training Course Held at Shanxi Datong University

From August 5 to 11, 2017, the Third National "Introduction to the Basic Principles of Marxism" Intensive Training Course, sponsored by the Research Department of Marxist Principles of the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and hosted by the Teaching and Research Department of Ideological and Political Education of Shanxi Datong University, was convened in the Shanmei Building conference room of our university. Yu Bin, Director of the Research Department of Marxist Principles of the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Sun Yan, Deputy Party Secretary of Shanxi Datong University; and Zhang Li, Director of the Ideological and Political Department of Shanxi Datong University, attended the opening ceremony of the training course. More than 80 teachers from over 40 universities nationwide, as well as 15 teachers from the Teaching and Research Office of the Basic Principles of Marxism of our university's Ideological and Political Department, participated in this training course.

2017年8月5日—11日，由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院马克思主义原理研究部主办，山西大同大学思想政治教育教研部承办的第三届全国“马克思主义基本原理概论通讲”研修班在我校善美楼会议室召开。中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院马克思主义原理研究部主任余斌、山西大同大学党委副书记孙彦、山西大同大学思政部主任张莉出席了研修班的开班式，来自全国40余所高校的80多名教师以及我校思政部马克思主义基本原理教研室的15名教师参加了本次研修班。

Deputy Party Secretary Sun Yan delivered a welcome address, briefly introducing our university's historical evolution, disciplinary construction, development goals, and ideological and political work, and expressed hopes for the training course. Director Zhang Li introduced the lead instructor, Yu Bin. Researcher Yu Bin provided relevant explanations regarding the purpose, significance, and content of this training course. Deputy Party Secretary Sun Yan presented Researcher Yu Bin with a certificate of appointment as a visiting professor.

During the training period, Researcher Yu Bin, through interpreting Marxist original works and integrating them with social reality, comprehensively analyzed the textbook *Introduction to the Basic Principles of Marxism*, enabling the teachers to gain a newer and deeper understanding and comprehension of the basic principles of Marxism. This played a positive role in promoting the teachers' comprehensive grasp of the essentials of Marxism, their genuine appreciation of the true essence of Marxism, their effective deepening of their emotional connection to Marxism, and their further strengthening of their faith in Marxism.

研修期间，余斌研究员通过解读马克思主义原著、结合社会现实，全面剖析了《马克思主义基本原理概论》教材，使教师们对马克思主义基本原理有了更新、更深的认识和理解，对于教师们全面掌握马克思主义要领、切实领略马克思主义真谛、有效加深对马克思主义的情感、更加坚定对马克思主义的信仰，起到了积极的促进作用。

On the evening of the 7th, the teachers held a discussion on the teaching situation of *Introduction to the Basic Principles of Marxism*. The teachers expressed their own views, offering insights on teaching hotspots, doubts, focal points, and difficulties; exchanged opinions on teaching methods, approaches, techniques, and experiences; and put forward suggestions on teaching content, problems, confusions, and challenges. Through the discussion, the teachers each gained something and each benefited.

7日晚上，教师们关于《马克思主义基本原理概论》的教学情况进行了讨论。教师们各抒已见，就教学热点、疑点、焦点、难点发表了见解；就教学方式、方法、手段、经验等交流了意见；就教学内容、问题、困惑、质疑等提出了建议。通过讨论，教师们各有所感、各有所获。

At the closing ceremony, teacher representatives—Professor Shi Jingying from Tianjin University of Finance and Economics and Professor Tian Haijian from Hebei University—each shared their learning experiences. Researcher Yu Bin presented the teachers with completion certificates.

Through Researcher Yu Bin's profound explanations and detailed interpretations, this training course helped the teachers correctly understand the principles of Marxism and comprehensively enhance their theoretical literacy in Marxism, which is of great significance for improving the targetedness and effectiveness of ideological and political theory courses in higher education.

本次研修班，在余斌研究员的深刻讲解和细致诠释中，有助于教师们正确理解马克思主义原理、全面提升马克思主义理论素养，对于提高高校思想政治理论课的针对性和实效性具有重要意义。
