The Fourth “China Path European Forum” Held in Spain

第四届“中国道路欧洲论坛”在西班牙举行

Xinhua News Agency, Madrid, October 7 (Reporter Feng Junwei) — The “China Path European Forum: China-Europe Cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative” was held on October 6 in the historic and cultural city of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, co-organized by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Galician Institute of International Relations. More than 100 experts, scholars, government officials, and others from think tanks and research institutions in China and Spain attended.

新华社马德里10月7日电（记者冯俊伟）由中国社会科学院和西班牙加利西亚国际关系研究院主办的“中国道路欧洲论坛——‘一带一路’倡议下的中欧合作”6日在西班牙历史文化名城圣地亚哥－德孔波斯特拉举行，来自中西两国智库和研究机构的专家、学者和政府官员等100余人出席。

The “China Path European Forum” was founded in 2014 and holds sessions in Spain, France, and Italy. This year marks the fourth edition. The forum aims to strengthen academic exchanges between China and Europe, increase European society’s understanding of China, and promote friendship and cooperation between the two sides.

“中国道路欧洲论坛”创办于2014年，在西班牙、法国和意大利均设有会场，今年是第四届。论坛旨在加强中欧学术交流，增加欧洲社会对中国的了解，促进双方的友谊合作。

In his opening remarks, Huang Yazhong, Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Spain, stated that the Belt and Road Initiative is a Chinese solution to address the global deficits in peace, development, and governance. It has become an important means of cooperation between China and the international community and has been welcomed by countries along the route.

中国驻西班牙公使衔参赞黄亚中在开幕式致辞中说，“一带一路”是应对全球和平赤字、发展赤字、治理赤字的中国方案，已经成为中国和国际社会合作的重要方式，受到了沿线国家的欢迎。

Julio Ríos, Director of the Galician Institute of International Relations, said that the Belt and Road Initiative will not only promote economic and trade cooperation but also play a significant role in advancing comprehensive social development and disseminating the concept of inclusiveness.

加利西亚国际关系研究院院长胡里奥·里奥斯说，“一带一路”不仅将促进经贸合作，还将对推动社会综合发展、传输包容理念发挥重要作用。

Deng Chundong, Director of the Academy of Marxism at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Martiño Noriega, Mayor of Santiago de Compostela, also delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.

中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院院长邓纯东和圣地亚哥－德孔波斯特拉市市长马蒂诺·诺列加也分别在开幕式上致辞。

More than 20 scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Shandong Academy of Social Sciences, Zhengzhou University, the National University of Defense Technology, Shandong Jiaotong University, as well as the University of Santiago de Compostela and the Autonomous University of Barcelona, engaged in extensive discussions and exchanges on topics including the China path, the Belt and Road Initiative and China-Europe cooperation, and a community with a shared future for mankind.

来自中国社会科学院、山东省社会科学院、郑州大学、国防科技大学、山东交通学院，以及圣地亚哥－德孔波斯特拉大学、巴塞罗那自治大学等的20多名学者，围绕中国道路、“一带一路”与中欧合作、人类命运共同体等议题进行了广泛讨论和交流。
