October 12: Dean and Party Secretary Deng Chunzong Holds Talks with Maurizio Acerbo, General Secretary of the Italian Communist Refoundation Party

On the morning of October 12, 2017, Deng Chunzong, Dean and Party Secretary of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and his delegation of five held talks in Rome with Maurizio Acerbo, General Secretary of the Italian Communist Refoundation Party.

Dean Deng Chunzong first expressed his respect for the Italian Communist Refoundation Party, with Maurizio Acerbo as its General Secretary. Acerbo expressed his thanks and welcome for the visit of Deng Chunzong and his delegation of five. In the subsequent talks, he expressed admiration for China’s achievements in recent years, stating that China is a very important force for peace, and that China’s peaceful rise and development have brought well-being to the people. Whether it is the great Chinese people, the Communist Party of China, or Chinese culture, all are forces that can influence Europe. The two sides then exchanged views on issues of common concern, including the historical evolution and current situation of the Italian Communist Refoundation Party, and the nature of the Italian Five Star Movement and the reasons for its rise and development. During the talks, both sides expressed the desire to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation at the academic and theoretical level.

邓纯东院长首先表达了对以毛里奇奥•阿切尔博为总书记的意大利重建共产党的敬意。阿切尔博对邓纯东一行五人的来访表示感谢与欢迎。随后的座谈中，他对中国近些年来取得的成就表示钦佩，认为中国是一支非常重要的和平力量，中国的和平崛起与发展，给人们带来了福祉。无论是伟大的中国人民、中国共产党还是中国文化，都是可以影响欧洲的力量。随后双方就意大利重建共产党的历史沿革与现状、意大利五星运动党的性质、得以兴起和发展的原因等共同关心的问题进行了交流。座谈期间，双方共同表达了从学术理论层面进一步加强交流与合作的愿望。

Also participating in the talks were Li Chunhua, Researcher and Party Secretary of the Institute of Urban Development and Environment of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Xin Xiangyang, Deputy Director of the Institute of Information and Intelligence of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Professor Li Yan of the Institute of Basic Theory of Ideological and Political Education at Northeast Normal University; and Li Kaixuan of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

一同参加座谈的还有中国社会科学院城市发展与环境研究所党委书记李春华研究员、中国社会科学院信息情报院副院长辛向阳、东北师范大学思想政治教育基础理论研究所李艳教授、中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院李凯旋。
