On December 26, the "40 Years of Reform and Opening Up and Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context — Academic Symposium Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening Up," hosted by the Academic Division of Marxism Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and organized by the Bureau of Scientific Research of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Institute of Contemporary China Studies, and the Research Center for Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, was held in Beijing. Jiang Hui, Party Secretary and President of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

12月26日，由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究学部主办，中国社会科学院科研局、当代中国研究所、习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想研究中心承办的“改革开放40年与马克思主义中国化——庆祝改革开放40周年学术研讨会”在京举行。中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院党委书记、院长姜辉出席会议并讲话。

Jiang Hui pointed out that over the past 40 years, reform and opening up and the innovative development of Marxism have mutually promoted, complemented, and organically unified each other. The innovative achievements of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context have guided reform and opening up to continuously expand and deepen in step with the times, while the great practice of reform and opening up has propelled adapting Marxism to the Chinese context to achieve new leaps time and again. The most concentrated embodiment and the latest theoretical achievement of Marxism developed through reform and opening up is the formation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. This great thought is a model of the innovative development of Marxism in the 21st century.

姜辉指出，40年来，改革开放与马克思主义创新发展相互促进、相辅相成、有机统一。马克思主义中国化创新成果与时俱进地指引改革开放不断拓展深化，改革开放的伟大实践推动马克思主义中国化一次次实现新飞跃。改革开放发展马克思主义的最集中体现、最新理论成果，就是形成了习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想。这一伟大思想，是21世纪马克思主义创新发展的典范。
