Jiang Hui introduced the situation of academic exchanges between the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Cuba, and expressed the hope to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Cuba, build more communication platforms, jointly explore topics of practical significance, carry out collaborative research, produce high-quality research results, and deepen and solidify Sino-Cuban academic exchanges. He pointed out that, at the new stage of development, the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC [1]1 The Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC, held in October 2020, adopted proposals for the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) and long-range objectives through 2035. coordinated the "two overall situations" [2]2 "Two overall situations" refers to the overall situation of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the overall situation of changes unseen in a century in the world., clarified the path choice for China's socialist modernization, and made strategic deployments for constructing a new development pattern. 姜辉介绍了中国社会科学院对古学术交流情况，并表示希望进一步密切与古巴的交流合作，搭建更多沟通平台，共同发掘具有现实意义的议题，开展合作研究，产出高质量研究成果，推动中古学术交流走深走实。他指出，在新发展阶段，中共十九届五中全会统筹“两个大局”，明确了我国社会主义现代化的路径选择，对构建新发展格局作出了战略部署。在此大背景下，中国与古巴两国学者可就党的建设、共产党长期执政的经验与规律、发展中国家实现现代化道路等问题开展深入交流。
