Marxism Research Network News From September 16 to 20, Xin Xiangyang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, led a team of five experts to conduct research in the Kashgar region of Xinjiang. The Propaganda Department of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regional Party Committee attached great importance to this research, and Ding Shouqing, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regional Academy of Social Sciences, along with Li Zheng, Chair of the Kashgar Regional Federation of Social Sciences, accompanied the research team throughout the entire process.

马克思主义研究网讯 9月16日—20日，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院党委书记、副院长辛向阳一行5位专家赴新疆喀什地开展调研。新疆维吾尔自治区党委宣传部对此次调研高度重视，新疆维吾尔自治区社会科学院党委书记、院长丁守庆与喀什地区社科联主席李正全程陪同调研。

On the afternoon of September 16, the research team visited the Organization Department of the Kashgar Municipal Party Committee and held a symposium with relevant responsible comrades from the Kashgar municipal Party and mass organizations, development and reform, agriculture and economics, social security, education, health, civil affairs, and women’s federations, on the theme of “Local Party Building and the Dissemination of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in Xinjiang.” The relevant responsible comrades from Kashgar City provided a detailed introduction to the situation of Party building in Kashgar City, a comprehensive overview of the level of public awareness of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era among the masses, and the effectiveness and achievements of Kashgar City in promoting the national common language [1]1 The national common language refers to Standard Mandarin Chinese (Putonghua), promoted nationwide as the official language. and strengthening propaganda and education on the “Four Histories of Xinjiang” [2]2 The “Four Histories of Xinjiang” are a set of official historical narratives covering the history of Xinjiang’s development, ethnic relations, religious evolution, and its integration with the rest of China..

9月16日下午，调研组一行赴喀什市委组织部，与来自喀什市的党群、发改、农经、社保、教育、卫生健康、民政、妇联等部门相关负责同志，就“地方党建和习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想在新疆的传播”主题开展座谈会，喀什市与会相关负责同志，详细介绍了喀什市党建情况，全面介绍了习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想在群众中的知晓情况，以及喀什市推广国家通用语言、强化新疆“四史”宣传教育的效果与成就。

After the symposium, the research team, accompanied by Kashgar municipal Party committee leaders, inspected and researched the “Centennial Kashgar Museum” and the “Kashgar City New Era Civilization Center,” gaining a detailed understanding of the situation regarding the New Era Civilization Center’s propaganda and popularization of “Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.” They also visited and researched the “Kashgar City Naan Industrial Park.”

座谈会结束后，调研组一行在喀什市委领导陪同下考察调研了喀什市“百年喀什馆”“喀什市新时代文明中心”，详细了解了新时代文明中心在宣讲普及“习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想”的情况。还参观调研了“喀什市馕产业园”。

On September 17, the research team drove to Bandir Township in Taxkorgan County to conduct a symposium and research, engaging in in-depth exchanges with members of the Taxkorgan County Party Committee Standing Committee and grassroots Party building staff from Bandir Township. After the meeting, they visited the high-altitude snow chrysanthemum planting base in Bandir Township and inspected the “New Era Civilization Center” in Bandir Township.

9月17日，调研组驱车前往塔什库尔干县的班迪尔乡开展座谈调研，与塔什库尔干县县委常委以及班迪尔乡的基层党建相关工作人员开展深入交流。会后，参观了班迪尔乡高山雪菊种植基地、考察了班迪尔乡的“新时代文明中心”。

Next, they went to the “Model of the Times Lakinii Bayika Patriotism and Army-Supporting Education Base” in Taxkorgan County to learn about the advanced deeds of Lakinii Bayika, a model of the times. Lakinii Bayika’s family, spanning three generations, has guarded the border for the country for over 70 years, content with ordinariness and without regret, constantly traversing snowy mountains and icy rivers at an average altitude exceeding 4,000 meters under extremely harsh natural conditions, writing touching stories of patriotic border defense in a forbidden zone of life. Lakinii Bayika himself, in an act of lifting life with life, sacrificed his own precious life while rescuing someone from an icy lake. During the visit and study, the research team was deeply educated, inspired, and spurred on. Secretary Xin Xiangyang pointed out that the Lakinii spirit must be summarized well, and suggested establishing a border defense museum, using the touching deeds of Lakinii Bayika’s family as core material, to create a high-level museum for border guarding, defense, and patrol, in order to cultivate more successors for prospering Xinjiang and consolidating the border.

接着赴塔什库尔干县“时代楷模拉齐尼·巴依卡爱国拥军教育基地”学习了解时代楷模拉齐尼·巴依卡的先进事迹，拉齐尼·巴依卡一家三代为国护边70多年，甘于平凡、无怨无悔，常年奔波于平均海拔超过4000米、自然条件十分恶劣的雪山、冰河，在生命禁区里书写爱国戍边的感人故事，拉齐尼·巴依卡更是以生命托举生命，在冰湖救人中献出了自己宝贵的生命。在参观学习中，调研组一行深受教育、鼓舞与鞭策。辛向阳书记指出，必须总结好拉齐尼精神，建议设立护边守边博物馆，以拉齐尼·巴依卡一家的感人事迹为核心素材，办成高水平的护边守边巡边博物馆，以培养更多兴疆固边的传人。

On September 19, the research team went to Village 3 of Baren Township in Shule County to conduct research. They listened to reports from village comrades on the situation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era taking root and landing among the masses, the promotion and learning of the national standard language, and the implementation of education on traditional culture and the “Four Histories of Xinjiang.” They also researched the kindergarten in Village 3 of Baren Township, watching the children’s Henan opera performance, extracurricular activities, allegro performance, and achievements in Sinology calligraphy. They also entered villages and households to research the effectiveness of poverty alleviation, conversing with members of ethnic minority families about their beautiful new lives, and experiencing the good results of the “Visiting, Benefiting, and Gathering” campaign [3]3 The “Visiting, Benefiting, and Gathering” campaign (访惠聚) is a Party-led initiative in Xinjiang where cadres are sent to villages to visit households, benefit the people, and gather support for Party policies., rural revitalization, and gratitude education.

9月19日，课题组赴疏勒县巴仁乡3村调研，听取村里同志关于习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想在群众中扎根落地情况、国家标准语言学习推广情况、传统文化与“新疆四史”的教育落实情况的汇报，并调研了巴仁乡3村幼儿园，观看小朋友的豫剧演出、课外活动、快板表演、国学书法成果等。并进村入户调研脱贫攻坚成效，与少数民族家庭成员共话美好新生活，感受“访惠聚”、乡村振兴与感恩教育的良好效果。

During the research, Secretary Xin Xiangyang demanded that we must give full play to the role of think tanks and brain trusts, conscientiously digest the research content, summarize the research results, and write research reports, forming special reports and briefings. We must deeply excavate good examples of the popularization and dissemination of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and contribute our wisdom to the dissemination of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, to the stability and development of Xinjiang, and to governing the border and stabilizing the border.

在调研中，辛向阳书记要求，我们必须发挥好思想库和智囊团的作用，要认真消化调研内容、总结调研成果、撰写调研报告，形成要报专报，深入挖掘习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想在大众化、普及化方面的好的典型，为习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想的传播，为新疆发展稳定，治边稳疆贡献我们的智慧。
