3. Organized the third “Female Professional Image Enhancement Salon” activity of the Academy of Marxism with the theme “Beauty, with Health as Its Foundation”

To further care for the physical and mental health of our Academy’s female staff, to enhance the self-confidence of female staff, and to display the healthy and upward spirit of female staff, our Academy’s Women’s Work Committee held the third “Female Professional Image Enhancement Salon” activity of the Academy of Marxism on September 22 in Conference Room 1237 of the Research Building. Senior designer and body management consultant Zhi Xiao’ai from Vini Fashion Group was specially invited to give a lecture on body management and healthy posture, and to provide on-site guidance and instruction on exercise methods suitable for the daily routines of researchers, with the aim of shaping a healthy and beautiful professional female image for our Academy’s female staff. Members of the Women’s Work Committee and several dozen female staff participated in the salon activity. The teachers who participated expressed that this salon activity was novel in form and meaningful; it not only enabled everyone to learn about body management and healthy posture, topics they usually paid little attention to, and to recognize the close relationship between posture and health, and between exercise and mood, but also enabled them to master some simple, easy-to-perform exercise methods suitable for themselves. They felt they had gained a great deal.

In addition to the special themed activities mentioned above, our Academy’s Women’s Work Committee also, in light of the characteristics of female staff, constantly paid attention to the demands of female staff, carried out meticulous work, earnestly cared for the work and life needs of female staff, and proactively provided them with considerate services. For example: insisting on sending birthday greetings on the 15th of each month in the全院女职工微信群 [n1] to teachers whose birthdays fall in that month; offering special congratulations to female staff who have newly married or given birth; promptly offering condolences when staff themselves or family members fall ill; actively coordinating to resolve difficulties such as milk storage for female staff returning to the Institute; actively organizing female staff to participate in the CASS gynecological check-up; and, regarding the various problems encountered by children of different ages in their studies, especially during the transition to higher education, establishing a group to exchange parenting experiences. This allowed everyone to constantly feel the care and warmth from the organization.

Looking back on 2022, the various activities carried out by the Women’s Work Committee of the Academy of Marxism consistently ran through the theme of “unity,” strengthened the cohesion of our Academy’s staff, created a positive and upward atmosphere, and fully manifested the spirit of our Academy’s staff working hand in hand with one heart, united in endeavor. The steady, solid, and distinctive work of the Women’s Work Committee received high recognition from the CASS Women’s Work Committee, the leadership of the Academy of Marxism, and female staff. Many female staff members reflected: “It feels good to have an organization.” This is the best praise for the hard work and concerted efforts of the Women’s Work Committee.
