The Institute of Marxism Holds a Plenary Meeting

On the afternoon of May 30, 2024, the Institute of Marxism held a plenary meeting to advance the study and education of Party discipline in depth and substance. Party Secretary Luo Wendong, drawing on the transmission and study of the spirit of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ bureau-level leading cadres’ Party discipline study and education reading class, delivered a Party discipline lecture titled “Forging an Iron Army of Marxist Theory with Strict Discipline” to all Party members. Director Xin Xiangyang, and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and Vice Director Lin Jianhua, respectively spoke on implementing the tasks of Party discipline study and education. Vice Director Chen Zhigang presided over the meeting.

2024年5月30日下午，马克思主义研究院召开全体会议，推进党纪学习教育走深走实。党委书记罗文东结合传达学习中国社会科学院所局级领导干部党纪学习教育读书班精神为全体党员作《以严明的纪律打造马克思主义理论铁军》纪律党课。院长辛向阳，纪委书记、副院长林建华分别就落实好党纪学习教育任务发言。副院长陈志刚主持会议。

Luo Wendong emphasized that the most important task of Party discipline study and education is to enhance the ideological, political, and action-based consciousness of firmly supporting the “Two Establishments”[1]1 The “Two Establishments” (两个确立) and resolutely achieving the “Two Upholds.”[2] All Party members must elevate their political stance, deeply recognize the extreme importance of Party discipline study and education; adhere to the strict tone, and earnestly grasp Party discipline study and education. They must conscientiously study the “Regulations of the Communist Party of China on Disciplinary Punishment,”[3] deeply carry out education on the “Six Disciplines,”[4] and effectively unify their thoughts and actions with the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions on Party discipline study and education. Each Party branch must earnestly implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Group of the Academy, and in conjunction with the “Three Meetings and One Lesson”[5] of the Party branch, organize diverse forms of Party discipline study and education activities.

罗文东强调，党纪学习教育最重要的任务是增强坚定拥护“两个确立”、坚决做到“两个维护”的思想自觉、政治自觉、行动自觉。全体党员要提高政治站位，深刻认识党纪学习教育的极端重要性；坚持严的基调，切实抓好党纪学习教育。要认真学习《中国共产党纪律处分条例》，深入开展“六项纪律”教育，切实把思想和行动统一到习近平总书记关于党纪学习教育的重要讲话和重要指示精神上来。各支部要认真贯彻落实院党组决策部署，结合党支部“三会一课”，组织开展形式多样的党纪学习教育活动。

Xin Xiangyang pointed out that to solidly carry out Party discipline study and education, political discipline must be persistently enforced. Everyone should use scholarship to speak on politics, prevent low-level red and high-level black,[6] deeply study the basic principles of Marxism, and apply the Marxist stance, viewpoint, and method to solve practical problems.

辛向阳指出，扎实开展党纪学习教育，政治纪律常抓不懈，大家要以学术讲政治，防止低级红、高级黑，深入学习马克思主义基本原理，运用马克思主义的立场、观点、方法解决实际问题。

Lin Jianhua conveyed General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on the construction of ideological and political courses in schools; all comrades should firmly establish the consciousness of a political organ and contribute to the development of the Institute of Marxism.

林建华传达习近平总书记对学校思政课建设作出的重要指示精神；全体同志应牢固树立政治机关意识，为马研院发展贡献力量。

All cadres and staff of the Institute of Marxism, as well as some retired Party members, attended the meeting.
