Strengthen Political and Ideological Guidance, Do a Good Job of Work for Retired Cadres

On the morning of June 6, 2025, the Academy of Marxism held a symposium for retired cadres to convey the spirit of the 2025 Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Work Conference on Retired Cadres. Nineteen retired Party-member cadres attended the meeting. Comrade Luo Wendong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Academy of Marxism, attended the meeting.

2025年6月6日上午马研院召开离退休干部座谈会，传达2025年度中国社会科学院离退休干部工作会议精神，有19位退休党员干部参会。马研院党委书记罗文东同志出席会议。

The meeting conveyed the spirit of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ “Plan for Strengthening Political and Ideological Guidance Work for Retired Personnel,” the spirit of Vice President Zhen Zhanmin’s speech, the spirit of Director Li Jinfeng’s summary work speech, and the spirit of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ “Implementation Plan for Organizing Retired Party-Member Cadres to Participate in the Thorough Study and Implementation of the Education on the Eight-Point Regulations.” [1]1 "Glory in the Party for 50 Years" commemorative medal: A medal established by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in 2021, awarded to Party members who have been members for 50 years or more, as part of the centenary celebrations of the CPC. On behalf of the Party Committee of the Academy of Marxism, Luo Wendong put forward three requirements for work on veteran cadres: First, improve the systems and mechanisms for work on retired cadres, ensuring that veteran comrades do not fade in color after retirement; quarterly return-to-institute activities should be carefully organized, and veteran comrades should actively participate according to their physical conditions. Second, integrate work on retired cadres into the overall work of the Academy of Marxism’s reform, stability, and development; do a good job of service and management; implement the Party leadership group’s care for veteran comrades to the fullest; and earnestly do a good job of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ paired-assistance and support work for retired cadres. [2] Third, the retired Party branch should continue to do a good job of branch work, strengthen Party building, strengthen political and ideological work, do a good job of inspection and rectification work, and give play to its organizational functions. [3]

会议传达了《中国社会科学院关于加强离退休人员思想政治引领工作的方案》、甄占民副院长讲话精神、李进峰局长工作总结讲话精神、《中国社会科学院关于组织离退休干部党员参加深入贯彻中央八项规定精神学习教育的实施方案》精神等。罗文东代表马研院党委对老干部工作提出三点要求：一是健全离退休干部工作制度、机制，确保老同志退休不褪色，每季度的返所活动要精心组织，老同志视身体情况积极参加。二是把离退休干部工作整合到马研院改革稳定发展工作大局中，做好服务管理，把院党组对老同志的关心做到位，认真做好社科院离退休干部对口帮扶支持工作。三是离退休党支部要继续做好支部工作，搞好党的建设，加强思想政治工作，做好巡视整改工作，发挥组织功能。

The retired Party branch of the Academy of Marxism stated that it will resolutely implement the spirit of the Academy’s Work Conference on Retired Cadres, strengthen ideological and political education, strengthen political guidance, further improve work on retired cadres, grasp the implementation of the “Three Meetings and One Lesson” system, [4] enthusiastically provide service and support, and give play to the branch’s role as a battle fortress.

马研院离退休党支部表示，坚决贯彻落实院离退休干部工作会议精神，加强思想政治教育，强化政治引领，进一步做好离退休干部工作，抓好“三会一课”制度落实，热心做好服务保障工作，发挥好支部的战斗堡垒作用。

与会同志表示，院党组深入贯彻习近平总书记关于老干部工作的重要论述，在实际工作中体现了对老干部的深切关怀，对离退休干部思想政治引领工作提出了明确要求。我们离退休党员干部要严守党的纪律，遵守相关规定，既安享晚年，又保持晚节。我们离退休干部在各个方面享受党、国家和社科院的关怀，一定知恩图报。

The comrades present expressed their gratitude to Party organizations at all levels for their care and concern for retired cadres. They stated one after another that, under the leadership of the Party Leadership Group of the Academy, all work of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences is flourishing, and work for retired cadres has also taken on a new look; the Party Committee of the Academy of Marxism is very concerned about retired cadres, and everyone's enthusiasm is very high. Every retired comrade spoke to share their thoughts and put forward opinions and suggestions on retirement work.

与会同志对各级党组织对老干部的关心关爱表示感谢。纷纷表示，在院党组领导下，社科院各项工作蒸蒸日上，老干部工作也有新气象；马研院党委对老干部很关心，大家积极性很高。每一位老同志都发言谈感想，对离退休工作提出意见建议。

Three comrades who have been Party members for 50 years were awarded the "Glory in the Party for 50 Years" commemorative medal. Party Committee Secretary Comrade Luo Wendong presented the commemorative medals to them and took a group photo with them. All the retired comrades present applauded warmly to congratulate them.

有三位入党50年的同志荣获了“光荣在党50年”纪念章，党委书记罗文东同志给他们颁授纪念章，并与他们合影留念，全体参会老同志热烈鼓掌祝贺。
