The Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Conducts a Themed Party Day Activity and a Special Investigation on “Party Building Leading Comprehensive Rural Revitalization”

In order to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important directive spirit on rural revitalization and to conduct on-the-spot investigation of the practical effectiveness of Party building leading comprehensive rural revitalization, from October 17 to 19, 2025, the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences organized its staff and workers to carry out a three-day special investigation activity in Xiayunling Township, Fangshan District, Beijing, and Sanpo Town, Laishui County, Hebei Province.

为深入贯彻习近平总书记关于乡村振兴的重要指示精神，实地考察党建引领乡村全面振兴的实践成效，2025年10月17日至19日，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院组织干部职工赴北京房山区霞云岭乡和河北省涞水县三坡镇开展了为期三天的专题调研活动。

On the afternoon of the 17th, the investigation team arrived at Tangshang Village, Xiayunling Township, Fangshan District, Beijing, and visited the “Without the Communist Party, There Would Be No New China” Memorial Hall. The investigation team listened attentively to the explanations, and through precious historical artifacts and audiovisual materials, reviewed the background of the song’s creation and the profound history and spiritual power it contains, further strengthening their original aspiration and founding mission of educating people for the Party and cultivating talents for the country, and reinforcing their sense of responsibility to serve rural revitalization with Marxist theory.

17日下午，调研组一行抵达北京市房山区霞云岭乡堂上村，参观了“没有共产党就没有新中国”纪念馆。调研组认真聆听讲解，通过珍贵的历史文物和影像资料，重温了歌曲创作的背景及其所蕴含的厚重历史与精神力量，进一步坚定了为党育人、为国育才的初心使命，强化了以马克思主义理论服务乡村发展的责任担当。

On the morning of the 18th, the investigation team went to Bailixia Village, Sanpo Town, Laishui County, Hebei Province, focusing on investigating the local situation of ecological civilization construction. The investigation team inspected the village’s appearance and the results of ecological environment governance on-site, and learned in detail about the specific pathways and significant achievements of Bailixia Village in practicing the concept that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets” [1]1 “Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets” (绿水青山就是金山银山) is a well-known formulation by Xi Jinping, first stated in 2005, encapsulating the idea that ecological protection and economic development are not contradictory but mutually reinforcing. and transforming ecological advantages into development advantages.

18日上午，调研组前往河北省涞水县三坡镇百里峡村，重点考察了当地生态文明建设情况。调研组实地查看了村容村貌、生态环境治理成果，详细了解百里峡村践行“绿水青山就是金山银山”理念，将生态优势转化为发展优势的具体路径与显著成效。

On the afternoon of that day, the investigation team moved to Nanyu Village to conduct in-depth research on the situation of consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation and vigorously developing the characteristic homestay industry to promote rural revitalization in that village. Through on-site visits to homestay clusters, exchanges with project leaders, and door-to-door visits to households, the investigation team gained a detailed understanding of the operational model of the homestay industry, the mechanism for driving villagers’ employment and income increase, and the sustained vitality it injects into rural development.

当日下午，调研组转赴南峪村，就该村巩固拓展脱贫攻坚成果、大力发展民宿特色产业促进乡村振兴的情况进行深入调研。通过实地参观民宿集群、与项目负责人交流及入户走访，调研组细致了解民宿产业的运营模式、带动村民就业增收的机制及其为乡村发展注入的持续活力。

On the evening of the 18th, the investigation team organized a special symposium in the meeting room at the lodging site, inviting grassroots cadres including Liu Chuncheng, Secretary of the Party Branch of Bailixia Village, and Duan Chunting, Secretary of the Party Branch of Nanyu Village, to participate in the discussion. The two secretaries respectively provided a comprehensive and in-depth introduction and explanation to the investigation team regarding their villages’ practical experience in promoting rural revitalization and consolidating poverty alleviation achievements under the leadership of Party building, especially the touching deeds and work effectiveness of grassroots Party organizations leading the masses in actively carrying out flood relief and efficiently advancing post-disaster reconstruction when facing challenges such as severe floods. The investigation team also conducted a lively and fruitful exchange and discussion with grassroots representatives on the key and difficult issues in the process of rural revitalization.

18日晚，调研组在驻地会议室组织召开专题座谈会，邀请百里峡村党支部书记刘春成、南峪村党支部书记段春亭等基层干部参加座谈。两位书记分别就本村在党建引领下推进乡村振兴、巩固脱贫攻坚成果的实践经验，特别是面对严重水灾等挑战时，基层党组织带领群众积极开展抗洪救灾和高效推进灾后重建的感人事迹与工作成效，向调研组作了全面而深入的介绍和讲解。调研组还与基层代表围绕乡村振兴过程中的重点、难点问题进行了热烈而富有成效的交流研讨。

On the morning of the 19th, the investigation team arrived at Shannan Village to conduct a special investigation on how the inheritance and development of red culture promotes rural revitalization. The investigation team visited the village’s red cultural facilities, watched a red-themed cultural performance staged by the villagers, and interacted and exchanged ideas with local cadres and the masses, deeply feeling the strong historical and cultural atmosphere and fine revolutionary traditions on this red hot land. By deeply excavating and utilizing red resources, Shannan Village not only continues the red bloodline and effectively stimulates the endogenous driving force of rural development, but also explores a new model combining red culture with rural tourism and economic development, which left a deep impression on the investigation team.

19日上午，调研组来到山南村，专题调研红色文化传承与发展助推乡村振兴情况。调研组参观了村内的红色文化设施，观看了由村民排演的红色主题文艺表演，并与当地干部群众互动交流，深切感受了这片红色热土上浓厚的历史文化氛围和优良革命传统。山南村通过深入挖掘和利用红色资源，不仅赓续了红色血脉，有效激发了乡村发展内生动力，而且探索出红色文化与乡村旅游、经济发展相结合的新模式，给调研组留下了深刻印象。

This investigation activity had a tight schedule, rich content, and prominent focus. Through on-site visits, symposium exchanges, and personal experience, the investigation team of the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences gained an in-depth understanding of the vivid practices and significant achievements of rural grassroots in areas such as Party building leadership, ecological civilization construction, industrial revitalization, red culture inheritance, and rural governance, accumulating valuable first-hand materials for related theoretical research and laying a solid foundation for further summarizing and refining replicable experiences of rural revitalization. The investigation team stated that it will carefully sort out and summarize the results of this investigation, contributing wisdom and strength to deepening research on adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times and serving the national rural revitalization strategy.

此次调研活动行程紧凑、内容充实、重点突出。通过实地走访、座谈交流与亲身体验，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院调研组深入了解农村基层在党建引领、生态文明建设、产业振兴、红色文化传承以及乡村治理等方面的生动实践与显著成就，为相关理论研究积累了宝贵的一手资料，也为进一步总结提炼可推广的乡村振兴经验奠定了坚实基础。调研组表示，将认真梳理总结此次调研成果，为深化马克思主义中国化时代化研究、服务国家乡村振兴战略贡献智慧和力量。
