Marxism Research Network News On March 18, the Institute of Marxism held a plenary meeting to convey and study the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches during the National Two Sessions and the spirit of the National Two Sessions, as well as the spirit of the enlarged meeting of the Party Group of the Academy, and to deploy implementation work. The meeting pointed out that this year’s National Two Sessions were important meetings convened at the critical juncture of the successful conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the good start of the 15th Five-Year Plan. [1]1 The National Two Sessions refer to the annual plenary sessions of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). The 14th Five-Year Plan covers 2021–2025, and the 15th Five-Year Plan covers 2026–2030. The important speeches delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during the National Two Sessions are lofty in vision, profound in thought, rich in content, and full of deep feeling, fully demonstrating the historical initiative, immense political courage, and strong sense of responsibility that drive the great ship of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation to ride the wind and waves, providing a scientific guide and fundamental basis for grasping economic and social development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period and for carrying out all work in the starting year. It is necessary to more deeply comprehend the decisive significance of the Two Establishments, further strengthen the Four Consciousnesses, fortify the Four Confidences, and achieve the Two Upholds, and effectively unify thoughts and actions with the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches. It is necessary to comprehensively and profoundly grasp the major agenda and important achievements of the National Two Sessions, and more consciously plan and advance all work of the Institute of Marxism within the overall work of the Party and the state.

会议指出，今年的全国两会是在“十四五”圆满收官、“十五五”良好开局的关键节点召开的重要会议。习近平总书记在全国两会期间发表的重要讲话，高屋建瓴、思想深邃，内涵丰富、饱含深情，充分显示了推动中华民族伟大复兴号巨轮乘风破浪的历史主动精神、巨大政治勇气和强烈责任担当，为抓好“十五五”时期经济社会发展、做好开局之年各项工作提供了科学指南和根本遵循。必须更加深刻领悟“两个确立”的决定性意义，进一步增强“四个意识”、坚定“四个自信”、做到“两个维护”，切实把思想和行动统一到习近平总书记重要讲话精神上来。必须全面深刻领会全国两会的重大议程和重要成果，更加自觉在党和国家工作大局中谋划推进马研院各项工作。

It is necessary to conscientiously implement the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan and the deployment of the enlarged meeting of the Party Group of the Academy, scientifically formulate the development plan of the Institute of Marxism for the 15th Five-Year Plan period, make great efforts to strengthen the construction of cadres, talents, and the youth team, deeply advance the adjustment of the disciplinary layout, and carefully plan the development of all undertakings of the Institute of Marxism. It is necessary to take the Party’s political construction as the guide, strengthen and improve the Party’s overall leadership, strictly consolidate the political responsibilities of Party organizations, and comprehensively advance comprehensive and strict governance of the Party in depth. It is necessary to solidly carry out study and education on establishing and practicing a correct outlook on political performance, deeply implement the general requirement of “standing for the public good, benefiting the people, making scientific decisions, and working with real effort,” adhere to the integrated advancement of study, inspection, and reform, make efforts to establish and improve systems, consolidate and deepen the new pattern of political construction in our institute, and unswervingly march forward courageously in the direction guided by General Secretary Xi Jinping and the Party Central Committee. Resolutely implement all instructions and requirements of the Party Group of the Academy, and make the due contributions of the Institute of Marxism to the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan.

会议要求，马研院各部门要把学习贯彻习近平总书记在全国两会期间的重要讲话和全国两会精神，同学习贯彻党的二十届四中全会精神结合起来，深入推动习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想体系化学理化研究阐释，聚焦当前经济社会发展中的重大问题进行前瞻性研究。要认真贯彻落实“十五五”规划纲要和院党组扩大会议部署，科学编制马克思主义研究院“十五五”时期发展规划，着力加强干部人才和青年队伍建设，深入推进学科布局调整，精心谋划马研院各项事业发展。要以党的政治建设为统领，加强和改进党的全面领导，压紧压实党组织政治责任，纵深推进全面从严治党。要扎实开展树立和践行正确政绩观学习教育，深入贯彻“立党为公、为民造福、科学决策、真抓实干”总要求，坚持学查改一体推进，着力在建章立制上下功夫，巩固深化我院政治建设新格局，坚定不移沿着习近平总书记和党中央指引的方向勇毅前行。坚决贯彻落实院党组的各项指示要求，为“十五五”开局起步作出马研院应有的贡献。
