Institute of Marxism Holds the First 2026 Evaluation Meeting on Social Science Youth Homecoming Research Findings

On March 11, the Institute of Marxism held the first 2026 evaluation meeting on social science youth homecoming research findings. Party Committee Secretary Luo Wendong presided over the meeting and delivered a summary; Director and Deputy Party Committee Secretary Cui Weihang attended and delivered a speech. Relevant experts from the Institute of Information and Intelligence, heads of relevant research departments, research offices, and editorial offices of the Institute of Marxism, as well as youth mentors, attended the meeting and offered evaluations. Young scholars from the Institute of Marxism who participated in this research attended the meeting and reported on their research findings.

3月11日，马克思主义研究院召开2026年第一期社科青年返乡调研成果汇报评议会。党委书记罗文东主持会议并作总结，院长、党委副书记崔唯航出席会议并讲话，信息情报院相关专家，马研院相关研究部、研究室、编辑部负责人及青年导师参会并作评议。参与此次调研的马研院青年学者参会并汇报调研成果。

Luo Wendong put forward three points of opinion on how to complete a high-quality research report. First, one must possess the fine style of study, writing style, and work style of a Marxist scholar, and must avoid impetuosity and empty talk. Second, one must master the scientific methods of research and improve one’s research ability and level; only by standing at a high vantage point and thinking deeply can one conduct accurate research. One must understand new situations, form new views, and propose new countermeasures; one should not follow old routines or repeat clichés, but rather uphold fundamental principles and break new ground, [1] being pragmatic and effective. Third, one must pay attention to the writing skills of the report: the topic selection must have highlights and be attractive, and must not be ambiguous; qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis must be combined, and must be reasonable and logical; the issues must be focused, combining points and overall aspects, every statement must have a basis, every matter must have evidence, and there must be no typos, omissions, or faulty sentences.

罗文东对如何完成一篇高质量调研报告提出三点意见，一是要有马克思主义学者的优良学风、文风和作风，切忌浮躁，切忌空谈；二是要掌握调研的科学方法，提高调研的能力和水平，只有站位高、思考深，才能调研准。要了解新情况，形成新看法，提出新对策，不要因循守旧、老生常谈，而要守正创新、务实管用。三是要重视报告的写作技巧，选题要有亮点、吸引人，不能有歧义；定性分析和定量分析要结合，要合情合理；问题要聚焦，点面结合，言必有据、事必有证，不要出现错字漏字和病句。

In his speech, Cui Weihang stated that a good research report has two basic elements. First, it must have theoretical reflection and refinement; Marxist theory scholars must highlight disciplinary characteristics, be adept at theoretical refinement, start from specific situations in research, and gradually penetrate into the major theoretical and practical issues of concern to the Party and the state. Second, it must have problem awareness; young scholars must not only be specialized but also broad, must go deep into the motherland’s vast land and grassroots practice, and raise questions on the basis of practice, only then can academic research be advanced. He emphasized that research must be conducted solidly, dug deeply, and stood at a high vantage point, in order to achieve great gains.

崔唯航在讲话中提出，好的调研报告有两个基本要素，一是要有理论思考和提炼，马克思主义理论学者要突出学科特点，善于进行理论提炼，在调研中从具体情况入手，逐渐深入到党和国家关注的重大理论和实践问题。二是要有问题意识，青年学者不仅要专，而且要博，要深入祖国大地和基层实践，在实践基础上提出问题，学术研究才能做上去。他强调，调研要做得实、挖得深、站得高，才能有大的收获。

In the results reporting session, young scholars from the Institute of Marxism—Ma Zhengli, Bi Guoshuai, Liu Ying, Zhang Ge, Feng Mengqi, Qiao Ruihua, Zhao Dingqi, Sun Jinya, Li Xiaobai, and Zhang Ting—respectively reported on their own topic selection considerations, research processes, report frameworks, as well as some thoughts, experiences, and confusions encountered during the research process.

在成果汇报环节，马研院青年学者马正立、毕国帅、刘影、张戈、冯梦麒、乔瑞华、赵丁琪、孙巾雅、李晓白、张婷分别汇报了本人的选题考虑、调研过程、报告框架以及在调研过程中的一些思考、体会和困惑等。

在专家评议环节，信息情报研究院研究员景向辉，马研院马克思主义原理研究部主任杨静，马克思主义中国化研究部主任贺新元，青年导师、国际共产主义运动研究部主任苑秀丽，习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想研究部副主任刘须宽，青年导师、《马克思主义研究》编辑部主任任洁，青年导师、思想政治教育研究室主任刘爱玲，国外左翼思想研究室主任周淼，《世界社会主义研究》编辑部副主任单超就如何做好调研、写好调研报告谈了各自的建议，对此次提交的11份调研报告分别提出了具体的修改意见。

The young scholars universally expressed that they had gained much from this meeting, acquiring a deeper understanding of why to write a good research report, what constitutes a good research report, and how to write a good research report. This helps to enhance their ability and competence in conducting research and investigation, and to improve the quality and standard of research report writing.

青年学者纷纷表示，通过此次会议获益匪浅，对于为何写一个好的调研报告、何为一个好的调研报告、如何写一个好的调研报告有了更深刻的认识，有助于增强开展调查研究的能力和素质，提高调研报告写作的质量和水平。
