Academic Symposium on “Ideological Construction in the New Era and the Value Guidance and Communication Innovation of Contemporary Marxism” Successfully Held

On August 22, the academic symposium on “Ideological Construction in the New Era and the Value Guidance and Communication Innovation of Contemporary Marxism” was successfully held at Ludong University. This conference was jointly sponsored by the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Ludong University, and organized by the Department of Research on the Adaptation of Marxism to the Chinese Context of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Research Center for National Cultural Security and Ideological Construction of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the School of Marxism of Ludong University, with co-organization by the editorial offices of *Studies on Marxism*, *World Socialism Studies*, the journal *Adaptation of Marxism to the Chinese Context*, *Shandong Social Sciences*, the School of Marxism of Qingdao University of Technology, and the Collaborative Innovation Center for Party Building in State-Owned Enterprises in the New Era. Experts, scholars, and graduate students from universities, Party schools, and research institutes including the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Jilin University, Shandong University, Beijing Normal University, Ludong University, the Party School of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the CPC, and the Shandong Academy of Social Sciences attended the conference.

8月22日，“新时代意识形态建设与当代马克思主义价值引领及传播创新”学术研讨会在鲁东大学成功举行。本次会议由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院、鲁东大学联合主办，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院马克思主义中国化研究部、中国社会科学院国家文化安全与意识形态建设研究中心、鲁东大学马克思主义学院承办，《马克思主义研究》编辑部、《世界社会主义研究》编辑部、《马克思主义中国化研究》集刊、《山东社会科学》编辑部、青岛理工大学马克思主义学院、新时代国企党建协同创新中心等协办。来自中国社会科学院、北京大学、中国人民大学、吉林大学、山东大学、北京师范大学、鲁东大学、中共山东省委党校、山东社会科学院等高校、党校、科研院所的专家学者和研究生等参加会议。

Secretary Luo Wendong, on behalf of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, extended warm congratulations on the convening of the conference and expressed sincere welcome and heartfelt thanks to the attending experts and scholars. He emphasized that ideology concerns the banner, concerns the path, and concerns national political security; it is a task of establishing a spiritual foundation for the country and forging a soul for the nation. He also shared insights from the perspectives of grounding in classic texts, responding to the currents of the times, focusing on technological innovation, and following the Two Integrations [1]1 The Two Integrations (两个结合) refers to the principle of integrating the basic tenets of Marxism with China’s specific realities and with the best of traditional Chinese culture, a key concept in Xi Jinping Thought., expressing the hope that academic peers would expand the breadth, depth, and intensity of research.

Secretary Li Heliang, on behalf of Ludong University, introduced the university’s nearly century-long academic accumulation and distinctive disciplinary achievements, pointing out that the School of Marxism of Ludong University, as a key construction unit of provincial-level Marxist schools, has proactively laid out cutting-edge directions such as digital ideological security governance. He stated that this symposium is not only a high-level academic exchange but also a vivid practice of holding firm to the main ideological front and advancing the popularization of Marxism, and earnestly requested that experts and scholars contribute more wisdom to the university’s development.

李合亮书记代表鲁东大学介绍了鲁东大学近百年的办学积淀与学科特色成果，指出鲁东大学马克思主义学院作为山东省重点马克思主义学院建设单位，前瞻布局数字意识形态安全治理等前沿方向。他表示，本次研讨会既是高水平学术交流，更是坚守意识形态主阵地、推进马克思主义大众化传播的生动践行，恳请各位专家学者为学校建设贡献更多智慧。

The conference invited experts including Professor Han Xiping, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Jilin University; Professor Yang Jinwei, former Deputy Director of the Shandong Academy of Social Sciences; Researcher He Xinyuan, Director of the Department of Research on the Adaptation of Marxism to the Chinese Context of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Professor Chen Peiyong, Deputy Dean of the School of Marxism of Peking University; Professor Xing Guozhong of the School of Marxism of Beijing Normal University; and Professor Hao Shucui, Executive Deputy Dean of the School of Marxism (Weihai) of Shandong University, to deliver keynote reports. The keynote report session was chaired by Senior Editor Zhou Wensheng, former Director and Editor-in-Chief of the *Shandong Social Sciences* journal, and Professor Chen Peiyong, Deputy Dean of the School of Marxism of Peking University. The attending experts respectively discussed topics including the high-quality development of the Marxist theoretical discipline, the construction of China’s network ideological security system, the construction of the cultural leadership of the Communist Party of China, ideological analysis from the perspective of the common values of all humanity [2]2 The common values of all humanity (全人类共同价值) is a term promoted by the CPC to refer to peace, development, fairness, rule of law, democracy, and freedom, presented as an alternative to Western-centric values., the ideological dissemination of social robots, and the methodology for researching and interpreting the Party’s innovative theories.

会议邀请吉林大学原党委副书记韩喜平教授、山东社会科学院原副院长杨金卫教授、中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院马克思主义中国化研究部主任贺新元研究员、北京大学马克思主义学院副院长陈培永教授、北京师范大学马克思主义学院邢国忠教授、山东大学马克思主义学院（威海）常务副院长郝书翠教授等专家作大会主旨报告。主旨报告环节由《山东社会科学》杂志社原社长、主编周文升编审和北京大学马克思主义学院副院长陈培永教授主持。在座专家分别围绕马克思主义理论学科高质量发展、我国网络意识形态安全体系建构、中国共产党文化领导权建设、全人类共同价值视域下意识形态辨析、社交机器人的意识形态传播、党的创新理论研究阐释方法论等问题展开论述。

The conference set up a group discussion session, where attending experts, scholars, and graduate student representatives presented their papers in turn, engaging in full discussion and exchange on themes such as Marxist ideological theory and communication innovation, socialist ideological construction and value guidance in the digital-intelligent era, Xi Jinping’s thought on Party building and the Party’s innovative theories, and Xi Jinping’s cultural thought and cultural construction.

会议设置了分组讨论环节，参会专家学者和研究生代表依次进行论文汇报，围绕马克思主义意识形态理论与传播创新、数智时代社会主义意识形态建设与价值引领、习近平党建思想与党的创新理论、习近平文化思想与文化建设等主题展开充分研讨和交流。

The closing ceremony was presided over by Professor Yin Zhaolu, Dean of the School of Marxism of Ludong University. Researcher Liu Zhichang, Deputy Director of the Department of Research on the Adaptation of Marxism to the Chinese Context of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, delivered a conference summary, fully affirming the academic achievements obtained at this symposium.

闭幕式由鲁东大学马克思主义学院院长殷昭鲁教授主持。中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院马克思主义中国化研究部副主任刘志昌研究员作会议总结，对本次研讨会取得的学术成效予以充分肯定。
