Call for Papers for the Sixth Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Mao Zedong Thought Forum

In order to deeply study, research, and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, and to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, and to further promote theoretical innovation on the basis of practice, and to sound the stirring melody of praising New China and forging ahead in the New Era in the field of academic theoretical research, the Sixth Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Mao Zedong Thought Forum is scheduled to be held in Beijing on April 13, 2019 (Saturday). The theme of this forum is “Mao Zedong Thought and the 70 Years of New China.” The conference will last three days: out-of-town participating guests will register on April 12, the full-day conference will be held on April 13, and out-of-town participating guests will depart on April 14.

为深入学习、研究、贯彻习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想、党的十九大精神和庆祝新中国成立70周年，进一步推进实践基础上的理论创新，在学术理论研究领域唱响礼赞新中国、奋进新时代的昂扬旋律，第六届中国社会科学院毛泽东思想论坛拟于2019年4月13日（星期六）在北京举办。此次论坛主题为“毛泽东思想与新中国70年”，会期三天，4月12日外地参会嘉宾报到，4月13日全天会议，4月14日外地参会嘉宾返程。

The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Mao Zedong Thought Forum is a national high-end academic forum under the unified leadership of the Leading Group for the Construction of Marxist Theoretical Disciplines and Theoretical Research Projects of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and organized by the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. It is an authoritative forum in the field of research on Mao Zedong Thought and research on Mao Zedong’s life, aiming to strengthen scholarly exchange among researchers in the field of Mao Zedong Thought nationwide and to promote the in-depth development of research on Mao Zedong Thought. The forum was founded in 2014 and is held once a year. It has already become one of the most influential national forums in the field of research on Mao Zedong Thought and research on Mao Zedong.

中国社会科学院毛泽东思想论坛是中国社会科学院马克思主义理论学科建设和理论研究工程领导小组统一领导、中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院承办的全国性高端学术论坛，是毛泽东思想研究、毛泽东生平研究领域的权威性论坛，旨在加强全国毛泽东思想研究领域的学者交流，推进毛泽东思想研究的深入开展。论坛于2014年创办，每年举办一次，已经成为毛泽东思想研究、毛泽东研究领域最具影响力的全国性论坛之一。

The forum adopts a system of participation based on submitted papers. It especially solicits papers from experts, scholars, and teaching and research personnel engaged in research on Mao Zedong Thought nationwide. Submitted papers should choose their own topics around the theme and the above reference topics, and adhere to the correct political direction. Papers must be unpublished research results and conform to academic norms. The word count of papers should generally not exceed 8,000 characters (including notes), and should be accompanied by 3-5 keywords and an abstract of no more than 300 characters. Citations and historical materials should be accurate and rigorous, and sources should be indicated (format should refer to the journal *Studies on Marxism*). At the end of the text, please attach the author’s biography, email address, and telephone number.

论坛实行以文赴会制，特向全国从事毛泽东思想研究的专家学者、教研人员征集论文。应征论文请围绕主题和上述参考选题自选题目，坚持正确的政治方向；论文须为未发表的科研成果，并符合学术规范；论文字数一般不宜超过8000字（含注释），并附3-5个关键词和300字以内的内容摘要；引文和史料准确严谨，并请注明出处（格式请参照《马克思主义研究》杂志）。文末请附作者简介、电子邮箱、联系电话。

After the papers pass the initial selection, the forum preparatory group will send invitations to attend the conference to the selected authors before the end of March.

论文通过初选后，论坛筹备组将于3月底之前向入选作者发出参会邀请函。
