Call for Papers for the 10th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Mao Zedong Thought Forum

To commemorate the 130th anniversary of Comrade Mao Zedong’s birth, further deepen the study of Mao Zedong Thought, and vigorously advance adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times, the 10th Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Mao Zedong Thought Forum is planned to be held from November 3 to 5, 2023, in Xiangtan, Hunan, the hometown of the great leader. The forum is jointly hosted by the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Hunan University of Science and Technology, organized by the Department of Studies on Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the School of Marxism of Hunan University of Science and Technology, and co-organized by the editorial departments of *Studies on Marxism*, *Reprinted Materials · Mao Zedong Thought*, *Mao Zedong Deng Xiaoping Theoretical Studies*, *Studies on Mao Zedong Thought*, and *Mao Zedong Studies*. The forum theme is “Mao Zedong Thought and Comprehensively Building a Modern Socialist Country.”

为纪念毛泽东同志诞辰130周年，进一步深化毛泽东思想研究，大力推进马克思主义中国化时代化，第十届中国社会科学院毛泽东思想论坛计划于2023年11月3日至5日在伟人故里湖南湘潭举办。论坛由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院、湖南科技大学联合主办，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院马克思主义中国化研究部、湖南科技大学马克思主义学院承办，《马克思主义研究》、《复印报刊资料·毛泽东思想》、《毛泽东邓小平理论研究》、《毛泽东思想研究》、《毛泽东研究》编辑部协办，论坛主题为“毛泽东思想与全面建设社会主义现代化国家”。

The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Mao Zedong Thought Forum is one of the series of forums under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ project for the construction of Marxist theoretical disciplines and theoretical research. It is an authoritative forum in the field of Mao Zedong Thought research, aimed at strengthening academic exchange among scholars in this field nationwide and promoting the in-depth development of Mao Zedong Thought research. The forum was inaugurated in 2014 and is held annually. It has become one of the most influential national forums in the field of Mao Zedong Thought research; this year marks its 10th session.

中国社会科学院毛泽东思想论坛是中国社会科学院马克思主义理论学科建设和理论研究工程系列论坛之一，是毛泽东思想研究领域的权威性论坛，旨在加强全国毛泽东思想研究领域的学者交流，推进毛泽东思想研究的深入开展。论坛于2014年创办，每年举办一次，已经成为毛泽东思想研究领域最具影响力的全国性论坛之一，今年是第十届。

Submissions are required to be guided by Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the important thought of the “Three Represents,” the Scientific Outlook on Development, and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. They must closely integrate the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, and the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the opening ceremony of the seminar on studying the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC for provincial and ministerial-level leading cadres on February 7 of this year, [2]2 The seminar for provincial and ministerial-level leading cadres on studying the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC was held at the Party School of the CPC Central Committee in early February 2023. Xi Jinping’s speech at its opening ceremony elaborated on the theory of Chinese-path modernization. reflecting ideological depth, contemporaneity, and innovation. Experts, scholars, teachers, and students intending to participate are requested to write their papers promptly and send them to the email address 11906156@qq.com before October 5, 2023. Papers must be unpublished research results, adhere to the correct political orientation and academic direction, and comply with academic norms. The length of the paper should generally not exceed 10,000 words (including notes), and should include 3-5 keywords and an abstract of about 300 words. Quotations and historical materials must be accurate and rigorous, with sources indicated (please refer to the format of *Studies on Marxism*). Submissions must be marked “Conference Paper Submission.” At the end of the paper, please include the author’s biography, email address, and telephone number. The conference organizing committee will organize a paper review committee composed of relevant experts to evaluate the papers. For papers accepted after review, we will issue formal invitation letters before October 20.

征文要求以马克思列宁主义、毛泽东思想、邓小平理论、“三个代表”重要思想、科学发展观、习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指导，紧密结合学习贯彻习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想、党的二十大精神，以及今年2月7日习近平总书记在学习贯彻党的二十大精神研讨班开班式上的重要讲话精神等，体现思想性、时代性、创新性。请有意参会的专家学者、师生尽快撰写文章，于2023年10月5日前将论文发至11906156@qq.com邮箱。论文须为未发表的科研成果，坚持正确的政治方向、学术导向，并符合学术规范；论文字数一般不宜超过10000字（含注释），并附3-5个关键词和300字左右的内容摘要；引文和史料准确严谨，并请注明出处（格式请参照《马克思主义研究》）。来稿请一定注明“会议征文”字样，文末请附作者简介、电子邮箱、联系电话。会务组将组织有关专家组成的论文评审委员会对论文进行评选。凡经评审入选的论文，我们在10月20日前发出正式邀请函。

The conference charges no registration fee. Transportation and accommodation expenses are to be borne by participants; meal expenses during the conference will be covered by the organizers.
