Call for Papers: 8th National Forum on Marxist Economics and 9th National Youth Forum on Marxist Economics

To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, to comprehensively review and summarize the development process and important contributions of Marxist political economy in China, to precisely position the temporal orientation of world economic development, and to further promote the construction of socialist political economy with Chinese characteristics and the enrichment and development of Marxist political economy theory, the 8th National Forum on Marxist Economics and the 9th National Youth Forum on Marxist Economics are scheduled to be held at Southwest University from September 27 to 29, 2019.

为纪念新中国成立70周年，全面梳理、总结马克思主义政治经济学在中国的发展历程与重要贡献，精准定位世界经济发展的时代方位，进一步推动中国特色社会主义政治经济学构建和马克思主义政治经济学理论丰富和发展，第八届全国马克思主义经济学论坛暨第九届全国马克思主义经济学青年论坛拟于2019年9月27-29日在西南大学举办。

This forum will closely center on the theme "The 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China and the Development and Important Contributions of Marxist Political Economy," focusing on the following topics for discussion:

本次论坛将紧密围绕“新中国成立70周年与马克思主义政治经济学的发展和重要贡献”主题，重点研究如下议题：

This forum plans to adopt a "1+4+3" exchange and discussion model, namely 1 plenary keynote report session, 4 parallel sub-forum report sessions, and 3 academic exchange sessions (Young Scholars Dialogue, Political Economy Discipline Construction and Youth Development Exchange, and Journal and Young Scholars Exchange).

本次论坛拟采取“1+4+3”的交流研讨模式，即1个大会主题报告，4个分论坛报告会，3个学术交流会（青年学者对话会、政治经济学学科建设与青年发展交流会、期刊杂志与青年学者交流会）。

Researchers from national research institutions, institutions of higher education, and Party and government departments are welcome to actively submit papers. Master's and doctoral students interested in Marxist political economy are encouraged to actively submit papers. After the paper passes review, an official invitation letter will be sent by the end of August.

欢迎全国科研机构、高等院校和党政部门等单位的研究人员积极投稿，鼓励支持对马克思主义政治经济学有兴趣的硕博研究生积极投稿，论文通过审稿后将于8月底收到正式邀请函。

Submitted papers must be new works that have not yet been published. The submission deadline is July 1, 2019. The electronic version of the paper should be sent to the forum's public email address bqm_2013@163.com (Liu Daoyi, Institute of Marxism, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences), and simultaneously copied to email address wf277@163.com (Wang Feng, School of Marxism, Southwest University). The paper must include an abstract, keywords, author biography, contact phone number, and email address.

投稿论文须为尚未发表新作，投稿截止日期为2019年7月1日，论文电子版请发送至论坛公共邮箱bqm_2013@163.com（中国社科院马克思主义研究院刘道一），并同时抄送邮箱wf277@163.com（西南大学马克思主义学院王丰）。论文须包含摘要、关键词、作者简介、联系电话及电子邮箱等信息。

This forum will hold a paper review meeting and adjust and supplement council members (see Appendices 1 and 2 for details). Among these, the paper review meeting will review submitted papers. The review panel will mainly consist of experts in the field, responsible editors of core journals, and members of the forum secretariat. Selected papers will be recommended to relevant important publications such as *Marxist Studies*, *Teaching and Research*, *World Review of Political Economy*, *Political Economy Studies*, *Contemporary Economic Research*, *Review of Political Economy*, *Economist*, *Studies on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics*, *Red Flag Manuscript*, *Reform*, and *Western Forum*.

本次论坛将召开审稿会和调整增补理事会成员（具体事宜见附件1、2）。其中，审稿会将审议投稿论文，审稿人员主要由领域内专家、核心期刊负责人、论坛秘书处成员等组成，投稿论文将择优向《马克思主义研究》《教学与研究》《世界政治经济学评论》《政治经济学研究》《当代经济研究》《政治经济学评论》《经济学家》《中国特色社会主义研究》《红旗文稿》《改革》《西部论坛》等有关重要刊物推荐。

This conference will not charge a registration fee. Transportation and accommodation expenses during the conference are to be borne by the participants themselves.

本次会议不收取会务费，会议期间交通费、住宿费等自理。

Appendix 1: Introduction to the National Youth Forum on Marxist Economics

附件1:全国马克思主义经济学青年论坛简介

To further promote exchange and cooperation among young Marxist economics scholars, to develop and innovate the problem horizons and thought methods of Marxist economics, and simultaneously to build a platform for young scholars to display their talents and disseminate ideas, with the support of relevant national teaching and research units, the National Youth Forum on Marxist Economics is specially convened. The forum is held once a year; the time and location will be announced in relevant media. Participating speakers are young scholars (aged 45 and under) in the field of Marxist economics.

为进一步推动青年马克思主义经济学者之间的交流与合作，开拓、创新马克思主义经济学的问题视域与思想方法，同时为青年学者搭建展现风采、传播思想的平台，在全国各教学科研相关单位的支持下，特举办全国马克思主义经济学青年论坛。论坛每年举办一次，举办时间和地点将在相关媒体上公布。与会发言人员为马克思主义经济学领域的青年学者（45周岁及以下）。

The forum establishes an Academic Advisory Board, a Council, a Secretariat, and an Executive Committee. The Academic Advisory Board is responsible for grasping the development direction of the forum and providing overall academic guidance on the forum's theme, format, etc. The Council is the decision-making body, responsible for determining important matters such as the forum's theme, time, and location. The Secretariat is responsible for academic liaison, overall coordination, and other work. The Executive Committee is the executive body, responsible for the specific meeting format and conference affairs of the forum.

论坛设学术顾问、理事会、秘书处和执行委员会。学术顾问负责把握论坛发展方向，对论坛主题、举办形式等进行总体学术指导。理事会为决策机构，负责确定论坛主题、举办时间、举办地点等重要事宜。秘书处负责学术联络、统筹协调等工作。执行委员会为执行机构，负责论坛的具体会议形式和会务工作。

The forum secretariat is located in the Department of Principles Research, Institute of Marxism, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, one of the initiating units. The permanent Secretary-General is appointed from the personnel of the Department of Principles Research, Institute of Marxism, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The forum's Executive Committee has one rotating Chairperson, who is elected and produced by the host institution of the annual forum. The permanent Secretary-General is responsible for convening and presiding over the forum's routine meetings and other daily work. The rotating Chairperson is responsible for the conference affairs of the current forum's Executive Committee and assists in the development of the next forum's conference affairs, primarily coordinating with the Council to determine the forum's theme, time, etc., and advancing related forum work.

论坛秘书处设在发起单位之一中国社科院马克思主义研究院原理研究部，常设秘书长由中国社科院马克思主义研究院原理研究部人员担任。论坛执行委员会设轮值主席一名，轮值主席由每年论坛承办单位推选产生。常设秘书长负责召集、主持论坛日常会议等日常工作。轮值主席负责本届论坛执行委员会的会务事宜，并协助下一届论坛会务工作的开展，主要是与理事会协调确定论坛主题、举办时间等，推进论坛相关工作。

Appendix 2: Notice on Adjusting and Supplementing Council Members of the National Youth Forum on Marxist Economics

附件2:全国马克思主义经济学青年论坛调整和增补理事会成员的通知

According to the plan for adjusting the Council every three years, the National Youth Forum on Marxist Economics will carry out the adjustment and supplementation of Council members in 2019 to form the third Council. The forum adheres to an open principle and welcomes applications from researchers in research institutions, institutions of higher education, and Party and government departments who are committed to engaging in research on Marxist political economy, can actively participate in various academic exchange activities of this forum, and are aged 45 (inclusive) or under. Applicants need to fill out the "National Youth Forum on Marxist Economics Council Member Application Form" (see table below; current Council members do not need to fill it out) and send it together with the submitted paper to the submission email addresses (bqm_2013@163.com, wf277@163.com). The application deadline is July 1, 2019. After review and approval by the forum secretariat and executive committee, the list of Council members will be announced at the 9th Forum meeting.

依据理事会每三年调整一次的方案，全国马克思主义经济学青年论坛将于2019年开展理事会成员的调整和增补工作，组建第三届理事会。论坛秉持开放原则，欢迎有志于从事马克思主义政治经济学研究，能够积极参与本论坛各类学术交流活动，年龄在45周岁（含）以下的科研机构、高等院校和党政部门等单位的研究人员申请。申请人需填写“全国马克思主义经济学青年论坛理事申请表”（见下表，原理事会成员不再填写），与投稿论文一并发至投稿邮箱（bqm_2013@163.com、wf277@163.com），申请截止时间为2019年7月1日。论坛秘书处和执委会审核通过后，将于第九届论坛会议上公布理事会成员名单。
