Call for Papers: China Path Australia Forum

In order to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important directives on strengthening “academic external propaganda” and “academic diplomacy,” as well as the strategic spirit of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ “academic going global” initiative, to promote academic exchange and dialogue between China and foreign countries, to strengthen the external propaganda of the path, theoretical system, and institutional achievements of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and to enhance China’s discourse power and soft power, the 2018 “China Path Australia Forum” will be held from December 1 to 8, 2018, in Newcastle, Sydney (Australia), and New Zealand, as jointly decided by the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the University of Newcastle, Australia. The forum theme is: “Classic Works of Marxism and Sinicized Marxism.” During the forum, small thematic symposiums will also be held separately with foreign scholars.
为深入贯彻落实习近平总书记关于加强“学术外宣”、“学术外交”重要指示和中国社会科学院“学术走出去”战略精神，促进中外学术交流对话，加强对中国特色社会主义道路、理论体系、制度成就的对外宣传，提升中国话语权和软实力，经中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院与澳大利亚纽卡斯尔大学共同商定，2018年“中国道路澳洲论坛”将于2018年12月1-8日在澳大利亚纽卡斯尔市和悉尼、以及新西兰召开，论坛主题为：“马克思主义经典著作与中国化马克思主义”，期间还将与国外学者分别召开小型专题座谈会。
The conference is hosted by the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the University of Newcastle, Australia. It now calls for papers from experts and scholars engaged in research in this field, both domestically and internationally.
会议由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院和澳大利亚纽卡斯尔大学主办。现面向全国和国际上从事该领域研究的专家、学者征文。
Participants who wish to register should send their Chinese and English paper abstracts, each approximately 2,000 characters/words, to the preparatory committee email address azlt2018@163.com (the pinyin acronym for “Australia Forum 2018”) before September 30, 2018, along with the author’s resume, paper abstract, and keywords. The full Chinese paper should be within 10,000 characters, and the English version within 6,000 words. Please send them to the preparatory committee email address before November 1, 2018. A conference proceedings volume will be published after the forum.
请报名参会者2018年9月30日前将您的中英文论文提要各2000字左右，发至筹委会邮箱azlt2018@163.com(即“澳洲论坛2018”的拼音首字母缩写)，并附作者简历、论文摘要、关键词。论文中文全文10000字内，英文6000字内，请于2018年11月1日前发筹委会邮箱。会后将出版会议论文集。
After all submitted papers are reviewed by relevant experts, notification of participation will be sent to the authors of selected papers. Interested authors are urged to register promptly!
所有征文经有关专家评审后，向入选论文作者发出参会通知。请有意向参加的论文作者速报名！
Official invitation letters required for visa applications will be issued together with venue and hotel information after the receipt of paper abstracts. Complete papers must be submitted before the deadline to allow for translation and preparation of conference materials.
签证所需的正式邀请函会在收到论文摘要后连同会址和酒店信息一同发出，完整论文必须在截止日期之前提交，以便翻译和制作会议材料。
Conference fees: No conference registration fee will be charged. Round-trip international and domestic transportation costs, accommodation expenses, and meal costs are to be borne by the participants themselves. To ensure a unified itinerary for participants, these matters will be handled uniformly by a conference service company commissioned by the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
会议费用：免收会议注册费。往返国际、国内交通费、住宿费、餐费由参会人员自理，为保证参会人员统一行程，这些事务的办理由中国社科院马研院委托的会务公司统一办理。
