Notice of the 2018 Academic Annual Conference and the Fifth Membership Congress of the Chinese Atheism Society

The report of the 19th National Congress of the CPC pointed out that socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a New Era. In 2016, General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech at the National Conference on Religious Work made a profound elaboration on upholding and propagating Marxist atheism, which has become an important component of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

党的十九大报告中指出，中国特色社会主义进入了新时代。2016年习近平总书记在全国宗教工作会议上的讲话，对坚持和宣传马克思主义无神论作出的深刻阐述，成为习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想的重要组成部分。

In order to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress and to carry out General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions and requirements on upholding and propagating Marxist atheism, the Chinese Atheism Society, upon a decision made at the meeting of the chairpersons’ office, will hold its 2018 Academic Annual Conference in Beijing on December 1-2. This annual conference will be jointly hosted by the Chinese Atheism Society and the Research Center for Science and Atheism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

为了深入学习贯彻十九大精神，落实习近平总书记关于坚持和宣传马克思主义无神论的指示和要求，中国无神论学会经理事长办公会议研究决定，于12月1-2日在北京举办2018年学术年会。此次年会将由中国无神论学会和中国社会科学院科学与无神论研究中心联合主办。

At the same time, in accordance with the society’s constitution, the Chinese Atheism Society plans to convene the Fifth Membership Congress during the 2018 Academic Annual Conference to conduct the election for the new term.

同时，根据学会章程，中国无神论学会拟于2018年学术年会期间召开第五届会员代表大会，进行换届选举。

The annual conference will combine invited distinguished experts with participation based on submitted papers. Society council members and experts and scholars who care about, support, and engage in atheism research and propaganda education are welcome to actively write papers on the theme and attend the conference. The relevant matters of the conference are hereby notified as follows:

年会采取邀请著名专家和以文参会相结合，欢迎学会理事及关心、支持和从事无神论研究和宣传教育的专家学者围绕主题积极撰写论文参会。现将会议有关事项通知如下：
