Notice of the 7th "International Forum on Socialism"

In order to strengthen the exchange of Marxist theory among the world's socialist countries, to understand the dynamics of reform and development practices in socialist countries, and thereby to provide useful reference for the construction and development of each country, in 2013 the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Institute of Philosophy of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, and the Lao National Academy of Social Sciences jointly initiated the establishment of the "International Forum on Socialism," and held the first forum in Beijing that year, thereafter rotating annually among China, Vietnam, and Laos. Up to 2018, the "International Forum on Socialism" had been successfully held six times. In addition to scholars from the three aforementioned countries, participants also included scholars and dignitaries from North Korea and Cuba, with each session attracting over 100 participants. At present, the influence of the "International Forum on Socialism" is expanding daily in China, Vietnam, and Laos, and it has become an important platform for Marxist theoretical exchange and for providing policy advice among socialist countries. The holding of the "International Forum on Socialism" has played a role in promoting theoretical exchange and mutual learning among socialist countries and has positive significance for the revival of the world socialist movement.

为加强世界社会主义国家之间的马克思主义理论交流，了解社会主义各国改革实践发展动态，进而为各国的建设和发展供有益借鉴，2013年，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院、越南社会科学翰林院哲学所、老挝国家社会科学院共同发起了筹办“社会主义国际论坛”，并于当年在北京举办了首届论坛，之后每年轮流在中国、越南、老挝举行。截止2018年，“社会主义国际论坛”已成功举办六届，与会者除了上述三国学者外，还邀请朝鲜、古巴学者政要参加，每届与会人数都超过100人。目前，“社会主义国际论坛”在中国、越南、老挝三国的影响日益扩大，成为社会主义国家之间的马克思主义理论交流和咨政谏言的重要平台。“社会主义国际论坛”的举办，对社会主义国家之间的理论交流互鉴发挥了促进作用，对世界社会主义运动的复兴具有积极意义。

After deliberation, the conference organizers have decided to hold the 7th "International Forum on Socialism" in Dalian, China, in June 2019. The theme of this forum is "Party Building in the New Era and Socialist Development," with the main topics as follows:

会议主办方经过商议决定，将于2019年6月在中国大连举办第七届“社会主义国际论坛”。本届论坛的主题为“新时代党的建设与社会主义发展”，主要议题如下：

In addition to inviting scholars from Vietnam, Laos, North Korea, Cuba, and other countries to participate, we plan to invite domestic scholars through a paper-submission format. Scholars and experts interested in participating are requested to write papers centered on the conference theme. The paper format should follow the submission requirements of the journal *Studies on Marxism*. We will invite authors of outstanding papers to attend the conference. Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and meals. The deadline for paper submission is May 10, 2019.

除了邀请来自越南老挝朝鲜古巴等国学者参会外，对国内学者我们拟以文参会形式发出邀请。请有意参会的专家学者围绕会议主题撰写论文，论文格式参照《马克思主义研究》杂志用稿要求，我们将邀请优秀论文作者参加会议。与会者的交通食宿自理。征文截稿日期为2019年5月10日。

Seminar dates: June 24-26, 2019, with registration on June 24 and a session lasting one and a half days. Departure on the afternoon of June 26 or June 27.

研讨会时间：2019年6月24-26日，其中6月24日报到，会期一天半。26日下午或27日离会。
