“Call for Papers: ‘Contemporary Chinese Thought and Culture and the 70 Years of New China’ Academic Symposium”

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, to deeply and systematically summarize the threads, characteristics, laws, achievements, and functions of the development of Chinese thought and culture over these 70 years, to promote the construction of contemporary Chinese thought and culture, to better build Chinese spirit, Chinese values, and Chinese strength, to consolidate the consensus of the Chinese nation, and to continuously enhance cultural confidence, the Institute of Contemporary Chinese Thought and Culture, jointly established by the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Shenzhen University, plans to hold the “Contemporary Chinese Thought and Culture and the 70 Years of New China” academic symposium on June 28–29, 2019. This symposium will closely revolve around the conference theme and focus on discussing the following content:

为庆祝中华人民共和国成立70周年，深入系统总结70年来我国思想文化发展的脉络、特点、规律、成就、作用等，推动当代中国思想文化建设，更好构筑中国精神、中国价值和中国力量，凝聚中华民族共识，不断增强文化自信，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院与深圳大学联合成立的当代中国思想文化研究所拟于2019年6月28-29日举办“当代中国思想文化与新中国70年”学术研讨会。本次研讨会将紧密围绕会议主题，重点研讨如下内容：

8. Research on Promoting Revolutionary Culture and Inheriting Red Genes [1]1 “Red genes” is a Chinese Communist Party metaphor for the revolutionary heritage and ideological lineage of the Party, passed down from earlier generations of revolutionaries.

The symposium is hosted by the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Shenzhen University, and organized by the Institute of Contemporary Chinese Thought and Culture (co-established by the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, its Department for the Study of Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context, and Shenzhen University), the School of Marxism of Shenzhen University, and the Department of Social Sciences of Shenzhen University. Experts and scholars engaged in research in this field from across the country are sincerely invited to submit papers.

研讨会由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院、深圳大学主办，由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院及马克思主义中国化研究部和深圳大学合作共建的当代中国思想文化研究所、深圳大学马克思主义学院、深圳大学社会科学部承办。现诚邀全国从事该领域研究的专家、学者积极投稿。

Submission requirements: All submitted papers must be new works that have not been published, approximately 10,000 characters in length, and accompanied by the author’s resume, an abstract, keywords, the main text, references, etc. They must have a firm political stance, a clear theme, correct viewpoints, and accurate citations.

稿件要求：所有应征论文均应为未发表的新作，字数在10000字左右，并附作者简历、论文摘要、关键词、正文、参考文献等。要求政治立场坚定、主题鲜明、观点正确、引文准确。

After all submissions have been reviewed by relevant experts, notification of participation will be sent to the authors of accepted papers. After the symposium, a conference proceedings volume may be published if possible.

所有征文经有关专家评审后，向入选论文作者发出参会通知。会后在可能的情况下将出版会议论文集。
