为深入学习贯彻习近平总书记关于学习党史、新中国史系列重要论述精神，深入探讨和总结新中国成立70年来辉煌历程、伟大成就、宝贵经验，12月27日，由中国社科院当代中国研究所和科研局主办、当代中国出版社协办的《新中国70年》出版座谈会在北京召开。中国社科院院长、党组书记谢伏瞻，中国社科院党组成员、副院长高翔，中国国家档案局局长、中央档案馆馆长李明华，中国国家博物馆馆长王春法，原中央党史研究室副主任章百家，中共中央宣传部副秘书长兼出版局局长郭义强，中共中央组织部干部教育局局长张福根，中共中央党史文献研究院院务委员柴方国等专家学者，围绕党史、新中国史的重大事件、重要人物，新中国70年的光辉历程，新时代以习近平同志为核心的党中央团结带领全国各族人民取得的历史性成就、发生的历史性变革，《新中国70年》编写的主旨、主线、特色和意义，作了主题发言，交流了学习体会。会议由中国社科院党组成员、当代中国研究所所长姜辉主持。

Participating experts pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping has emphasized that history is the best textbook, and that “we must continue to strengthen the study of Party history and PRC history, do practical work well in the present through deep reflection on history, better march toward the future, and constantly hand in qualified examination papers for upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics.” In the “Original Aspiration and Founding Mission” [1]1 “Original Aspiration and Founding Mission” (初心使命) refers to the core theme of the “Original Aspiration and Founding Mission” education campaign launched by the CPC in 2019, aimed at reminding Party members of the Party’s founding ideals and goals. education campaign launched this year, the Party Central Committee specifically issued a notice requiring all regions, departments, and units to make the study of Party history and PRC history an important component of the education campaign. *70 Years of the PRC* observes and writes the 70-year history of the PRC from the perspective of the more than 5,000-year history of Chinese civilization, the more than 170-year history of the Chinese people’s struggle since modern times, and the nearly 100-year history of the Chinese Communist Party’s struggle. It sorts out the glorious course of the PRC’s 70 years, sings the stirring melody of praising the new China and striving for the New Era, and enables us, through deep reflection on and grasp of history, to understand clearly where we come from and where we are going. We will neither take the old path of closed-door rigidity nor the evil path of changing the banner [2]2 “Changing the banner” (改旗易帜) is a standard CPC phrase warning against abandoning socialism in favor of capitalism or other non-socialist systems., providing powerful spiritual impetus for us to better uphold and develop socialism with Chinese characteristics in the New Era and realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

与会专家指出，习近平总书记强调历史是最好的教科书，“要继续加强对党史、国史的学习，在对历史的深入思考中做好现实工作、更好走向未来，不断交出坚持和发展中国特色社会主义的合格答卷”。在今年开展的“不忘初心、牢记使命”主题教育中，党中央专门印发通知，要求各地区各部门各单位把学习党史、新中国史作为主题教育重要内容。《新中国70年》把新中国70年的历史放到中华民族5000多年文明史、中国人民近代以来170多年斗争史、中国共产党近百年奋斗史中来观察和书写，梳理新中国70年的光辉历程，唱响礼赞新中国、奋斗新时代的昂扬旋律，让我们在对历史的深入思考和把握中弄清楚从哪里来，到哪里去，既不走封闭僵化的老路，也不走改旗易帜的邪路，为我们在新时代更好地坚持和发展中国特色社会主义，实现中华民族伟大复兴提供强大精神动力。

Participating experts believe that to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important speeches on studying Party history and PRC history and the requirements of the Party Central Committee, we must adhere to the correct political direction, value orientation, and academic orientation, unswervingly uphold the guiding position of Marxism, thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, treat the history of the Party and the state with the correct stance, viewpoint, and method, clearly and unequivocally use historical materialism to guide the study of PRC history, and guide academia, the ideological sphere, and the whole society toward a correct understanding of and high identification with the Chinese Communist Party and the People’s Republic of China.

与会专家认为，深入贯彻好习近平总书记关于学习党史、新中国史系列重要讲话精神和党中央的要求，必须坚持正确的政治方向、价值取向、学术导向，毫不动摇坚持马克思主义指导地位，深入学习贯彻习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想，以正确的立场、观点、方法对待党和国家的历史，旗帜鲜明地运用唯物史观指导国史研究，引导学术界、思想界和全社会对中国共产党和中华人民共和国的正确认识和高度认同。

Participating experts expressed that the study of PRC history must firmly seize historical opportunities, focus on major theoretical and practical issues, write and record the great practice of the people and the progressive demands of the times from a historical perspective, deeply summarize the valuable experience of the Chinese Communist Party in leading the Chinese people in the great revolution, deeply propagate and explain the historical inevitability that only the Chinese Communist Party can lead the Chinese people to stand up, become prosperous, and become strong, promote the Chinese spirit, gather Chinese strength, and inspire the people of all ethnic groups across the country to unswervingly follow the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics and march vigorously toward the bright future of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Researchers of PRC history must earnestly summarize and analyze the historical experience of the PRC’s 70 years, enhance their sense of responsibility and mission, accelerate the construction of a disciplinary system, academic system, and discourse system for PRC history with Chinese characteristics, form authoritative historical accounts of the PRC’s development process, brilliant achievements, and valuable experience through solid and rigorous academic research, produce a batch of high-quality, influential research results on PRC history, provide authoritative references for Party history and PRC history, provide strong theoretical support for upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics in the New Era, and make important contributions to funding education and serving society.

与会专家表示，新中国史研究要紧紧抓住历史机遇，聚焦重大理论和现实问题，从历史的视角书写和记录人民的伟大实践、时代的进步要求，深入总结中国共产党领导中国人民进行伟大革命的宝贵经验，深入宣传阐释只有中国共产党才能领导中国人站起来、富起来、强起来的历史必然性，弘扬中国精神，凝聚中国力量，鼓舞全国各族人民坚定不移走中国特色社会主义道路，朝气蓬勃迈向实现中华民族伟大复兴的光明未来。新中国史研究工作者要认真总结分析新中国70年的历史经验，增强责任感和使命感，加快构建中国特色国史学科体系、学术体系、话语体系，通过扎实严谨的学术研究，形成对新中国发展历程、辉煌成就、宝贵经验的权威的历史记述，推出一批高质量、有影响的新中国史研究成果，党史、新中国史提供权威参考，为新时代坚持和发展中国特色社会主义提供有力学理支撑，为资助育人、服务社会作出重要贡献。
