The Basic Socialist Economic System and the Modernization of National Governance – Call for Papers for the 30th Annual Conference of the Chinese Association of Political Economy and the 23rd Symposium of the Chinese Shanghai School of Economics

In order to deeply study and propagate the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC and the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee, strengthen the research and interpretation of Xi Jinping’s economic thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics, and further promote theoretical innovation in political economy with Chinese characteristics, the 30th Annual Conference is scheduled to be held on June 13–14, 2020 (a weekend) in Fuzhou City. The conference is hosted by the Chinese Association of Political Economy, the National Research Center for Political Economy with Chinese Characteristics (Fujian Normal University), and the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Institute of Shanghai School of Economics; organized by the School of Economics of Fujian Normal University; and co-organized by the Research Center for Economic and Social Development of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Principles Department of the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the School of Marxism of Fujian Normal University.

为深入学习和宣传党的十九大和十九届四中全会精神，加强习近平新时代中国特色社会主义经济思想的研究和阐释，进一步推动中国特色政治经济学理论创新，拟于2020年6月13-14日（双休日）在福州市召开第30届年会。会议由中国政治经济学学会、全国中国特色社会主义政治经济学研究中心（福建师范大学）和上海财经大学海派经济学研究院主办，福建师范大学经济学院承办；中国社会科学院经济社会发展研究中心、中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院原理部、福建师范大学马克思主义学院协办。

This conference takes “The Basic Socialist Economic System and the Modernization of National Governance” as its theme, with a focus on discussing the following content:

We now sincerely invite teaching and research personnel from national research institutions, universities and colleges, as well as members of this association, to actively contribute papers. Requirements for papers:

现诚邀全国科研机构、高等院校等单位的教学和研究人员及本学会成员积极提供稿件。稿件要求：

(1) The theme should be clear, the argumentation rigorous, reflecting continuity, academic quality, and innovation.

（一）主题鲜明、论证清晰，体现传承性、学术性和创新性。

(2) Annotations should be standardized, citations accurate, with sources indicated in footnotes.

（二）注释规范，引文准确，在页下注明出处。

(3) The main text of the paper should be preceded by an abstract (approximately 800 characters), a brief author biography, and detailed contact information.

（三）论文正文前附内容摘要（约800字）、作者简介及详细联系方式。

(4) The deadline for submissions is May 5, 2020. Submitted papers should be sent in WORD format to the contact person: Researcher Hou Weimin of the Institute of Marxism, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (email: zhjxh2019@163.com). Formal invitations to attend the conference will be sent to selected authors before May 15.

Selected papers will be considered for the year’s outstanding papers of the association, and the best will be compiled into a proceedings volume published by Economic Science Press. Outstanding papers may be recommended to *Marxist Studies*, *Research in Political Economy*, *Contemporary Economic Research*, and *Shanghai School of Economics*.

入选论文将参评本年度学会优秀论文，并择优编成论文集由经济科学出版社出版。优秀论文可推荐给《马克思主义研究》《政治经济学研究》《当代经济研究》和《海派经济学》等。
