Call for Papers for the Seventh Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Mao Zedong Thought Forum

In order to deeply study, research, and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, and the spirit of the Second, Third, and Fourth Plenary Sessions of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC, to further advance theoretical innovation on the basis of practice, to deepen the study of Mao Zedong Thought in the New Era, and to sound the stirring melody of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in the field of academic theoretical research, the Seventh Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Mao Zedong Thought Forum is preliminarily scheduled to be held in Beijing on June 20, 2020 (Saturday), with the theme “Mao Zedong Thought and the Great Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation.” The forum will last three days: June 19 for check-in of out-of-town participating guests, June 20 for the full-day conference, and June 21 for the departure of out-of-town participating guests. The conference date will be finally determined and announced based on the situation of prevention and control of the novel coronavirus epidemic.

为深入学习、研究、贯彻习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想、党的十九大精神和党的十九届二中、三中、四中全会精神，进一步推进实践基础上的理论创新，深化新时代的毛泽东思想研究，在学术理论研究领域唱响中华民族伟大复兴的昂扬旋律，第七届中国社会科学院毛泽东思想论坛初步定于2020年6月20日（星期六）在北京举办，主题为“毛泽东思想与中华民族伟大复兴”，会期三天，6月19日外地参会嘉宾报到，6月20日全天会议，6月21日外地参会嘉宾返程。会议日期将根据新冠病毒疫情防控情况最后再确定和通知。

The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Mao Zedong Thought Forum is a national high-end academic forum under the unified leadership of the Leading Group for the Construction of Marxist Theory Disciplines and Theoretical Research Projects of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and organized by the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. It is an authoritative forum in the field of Mao Zedong Thought research and Mao Zedong’s life research, aiming to strengthen academic exchange among scholars in the national field of Mao Zedong Thought research and to promote the in-depth development of Mao Zedong Thought research. Founded in 2014 and held annually, it has become one of the most influential national forums in the field of Mao Zedong Thought research and Mao Zedong research.

中国社会科学院毛泽东思想论坛是中国社会科学院马克思主义理论学科建设和理论研究工程领导小组统一领导、中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院承办的全国性高端学术论坛，是毛泽东思想研究、毛泽东生平研究领域的权威性论坛，旨在加强全国毛泽东思想研究领域的学者交流，推进毛泽东思想研究的深入开展。论坛于2014年创办，每年举办一次，已经成为毛泽东思想研究、毛泽东研究领域最具影响力的全国性论坛之一。

The forum adopts a system of participation based on submitted papers, and specifically solicits papers from experts, scholars, teaching and research personnel engaged in Mao Zedong Thought research nationwide. Submitted papers should choose their own topics around the forum theme and the above reference topics, adhere to the correct political direction and academic orientation; papers must be unpublished research results and conform to academic norms; the word count of papers should generally not exceed 10,000 words (including notes), and should be accompanied by 3-5 keywords and an abstract of no more than 300 words; citations and historical materials should be accurate and rigorous, and sources should be indicated (format should refer to the journal *Studies on Marxism*). At the end of the text, please include the author’s brief biography, email address, and contact phone number.

论坛实行以文赴会制，特向全国从事毛泽东思想研究的专家学者、教研人员等征集论文。应征论文请围绕论坛主题和上述参考选题自选题目，坚持正确的政治方向、学术导向；论文须为未发表的科研成果，并符合学术规范；论文字数一般不宜超过10000字（含注释），并附3-5个关键词和300字以内的内容摘要；引文和史料准确严谨，并请注明出处（格式请参照《马克思主义研究》杂志）。文末请附作者简介、电子邮箱、联系电话。

After the papers pass the initial selection, the forum preparatory group will send invitations to attend the conference to selected authors before May 25.

论文通过初选后，论坛筹备组将于5月25日之前向入选作者发出参会邀请函。
