Notice of the 2020 National Symposium on Ideological and Political Education

In order to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC [1]1 The Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC, held in October 2019, focused on upholding and improving the system of socialism with Chinese characteristics and advancing the modernization of China’s system and capacity for governance. and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourses on ideological and political work, to implement the spirit of the National Education Conference, the National Conference on Propaganda and Ideological Work, and the Symposium on Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Schools, to use Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to forge souls and educate people, to promote the innovative development of ideological and political education in the New Era, to effectively enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education, and to cultivate socialist builders and successors who are well-developed morally, intellectually, physically, aesthetically, and labor-wise, the “2020 National Symposium on Ideological and Political Education” is planned to be held in mid-to-late August 2020 in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. The symposium is jointly hosted by the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Lanzhou University, and co-organized by the Research Department of Marxist Principles of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the School of Marxism of Lanzhou University, and the Innovation and Development Center for Ideological and Political Work in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education at Lanzhou University.

为深入学习贯彻党的十九届四中全会精神和习近平总书记关于思想政治工作重要论述，落实全国教育大会、全国宣传思想工作会议和学校思想政治理论课教师座谈会精神，用习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想铸魂育人，推进新时代思想政治教育创新发展，切实提高思想政治教育实效性，培养德智体美劳全面发展的社会主义建设者和接班人，“2020年全国思想政治教育学术研讨会”拟于2020年8月中下旬在甘肃省兰州市举办。会议由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院、兰州大学联合主办，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院马克思主义原理研究部、兰州大学马克思主义学院、兰州大学教育部高校思想政治工作创新发展中心共同承办。

V. Participation Method

五、参会方式

1. The symposium adopts a paper-based participation method. Experts and scholars are requested to write papers around the symposium theme and topics. Paper requirements are as follows: (1) Guided by Marxism, with a clear theme, reflecting academic rigor and innovation; (2) Must include an abstract (approximately 400 characters) before the main text, keywords (3-5), author biography (name, gender, work unit, title, position), and detailed contact information (address, phone, email); (3) The main text should follow the submission format of *Marxist Studies*; (4) Approximately 10,000 characters, with standardized citations and accurate quotations.

1．会议采取以文参会的方式，请各位专家学者围绕会议主题和议题撰写论文。论文要求如下：（1）以马克思主义为指导，主题鲜明，体现学术性和创新性；（2）务必在正文前附内容提要（400字左右）、关键词（3-5个）、作者简介（姓名、性别、工作单位、职称、职务）及详细联系方式（地址、电话、电子邮箱）；（3）正文请参照《马克思主义研究》投稿体例；（4）字数在10000字左右，要求注释规范、引文准确。

2. Symposium papers should be sent in Word document format to the symposium email: mksxy@lzu.edu.cn, with the file name “Name + Paper Title.” The submission deadline is July 20, 2020.

2．会议论文请以Word文档形式发送至会议邮箱：mksxy@lzu.edu.cn，文件名为“姓名+论文题目”，投稿截止日期为2020年7月20日。

3. The organizing committee will issue formal participation invitations to those whose papers are selected. After the symposium, the proceedings *Research on Ideological and Political Education: Collected Papers*, Volume 10, will be officially published, and selected papers will be recommended for publication in important journals such as *Marxist Studies*, *Ideological and Political Education Research*, *Ideological and Political Theory Education*, *Research on Marxist Theory Disciplines*, and *Ideological and Political Education Research*.

3．会务组将向论文入选者发出正式参会邀请函。会后将正式出版论文集《思想政治教育研究论丛》第10辑，并择优向《马克思主义研究》《思想教育研究》《思想理论教育》《马克思主义理论学科研究》《思想政治教育研究》等重要刊物推荐发表。
