“The Course, Experience and Trends of the Political Building of the Communist Party of China” Academic Symposium

Political building is the fundamental building of the Communist Party of China, determining the direction and effect of Party building, and occupies a primary position in the process of the Party leading the people in revolution, construction, reform and rejuvenation. The 19th National Congress of the CPC [1]1 The 19th National Congress of the CPC was held in October 2017, at which Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era was enshrined in the Party Constitution and the political building of the Party was formally elevated to a leading position in the overall plan for Party building. incorporated political building into the overall plan for Party building for the first time, emphasizing that political building of the Party should be taken as the guide to advance all other aspects of Party building. In order to deeply study, research and implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, review and sort out the history and experience of the CPC’s strengthening of political building since its founding, exchange the latest research results in the field of the Party’s political building, and provide theoretical reference and practical reference for the Party’s political building in the New Era, it is planned to hold the “The Course, Experience and Trends of the Political Building of the Communist Party of China” Academic Symposium at Nanjing University of Science and Technology on November 28, 2020. This symposium is co-hosted by the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Nanjing University of Science and Technology, organized by the School of Marxism of Nanjing University of Science and Technology and the Research Center for Political Building and Local Governance of Nanjing University of Science and Technology, and co-organized by academic journals including the *Journal of the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences*, *Huxiang Forum*, *Journal of Nanjing University* and *Journal of Nanjing University of Science and Technology*. Papers are now being solicited nationwide, and colleagues in the academic community are sincerely invited to contribute.

政治建设是中国共产党的根本性建设，决定着党的建设的方向和效果，在党领导人民进行革命、建设、改革和复兴的进程中居于首要位置。党的十九大首次将政治建设纳入党的建设总体布局，强调以党的政治建设为统领推进党的各项建设。为深入学习、研究、贯彻党的十九大精神，回顾和梳理中国共产党成立以来加强政治建设的历史及其经验，交流党的政治建设领域的最新研究成果，为新时代党的政治建设提供理论参考与实务借鉴，拟于2020年11月28日在南京理工大学举办“中国共产党政治建设的历程·经验·趋势”学术研讨会。本次会议由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院、南京理工大学主办，南京理工大学马克思主义学院、南京理工大学政治建设与地方治理研究中心承办，《中国社会科学院研究生院学报》、《湖湘论坛》、《南京大学学报》和《南京理工大学学报》等学术刊物协办。现面向全国征集论文，诚盼学界同仁踊跃赐稿。

I. Symposium Theme

This symposium will closely revolve around the theme of “the Party’s political building,” with key topics as follows:

II. Paper Requirements

二、论文要求

This symposium adopts a paper-based participation method. Submitted papers must revolve around the symposium theme or key topics, have correct viewpoints, emphasize originality, highlight academic nature, have no word limit, must include an abstract and keywords, and indicate the author’s name, unit, mailing address and contact information at the end.

本次会议采取以文入会方式，提交论文须围绕会议主题或重点选题，观点正确，注重原创性，突出学术性，字数不限，需包含摘要、关键词，文末标明作者姓名、单位、通讯地址及联系方式。

The email subject line should be named in the format “Party’s Political Building: Unit + Name.”

邮件主题请以“党的政治建设：单位+姓名”格式命名。

This symposium does not charge a symposium fee. The organizers are responsible for meals during the symposium. Round-trip transportation expenses and accommodation costs are to be borne by participants.
