【Academic Notice】 21st Century Marxism Lecture Hall (Third Session)

The "21st Century Marxism Lecture Hall," hosted by the Institute of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, will hold its third session on May 13. It will invite Li Jie, Research Fellow, former President of *Qiushi* Journal [1]1 *Qiushi* (Seeking Truth) is the flagship theoretical journal of the CPC Central Committee. and President of the Chinese Society of Historians, to deliver a special lecture titled "Viewing the Century-Long History of the CPC from Five Threads." The lecture will be chaired by Research Fellow Xin Xiangyang, Party Secretary of the Institute of Marxism.

由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院主办的“21世纪马克思主义大讲堂”将于5月13日举办第三讲，将邀请《求是》杂志社原社长、中国史学会会长李捷研究员作主题为《从五条脉络看百年党史》的专题讲座，讲座由马克思主义研究院党委书记辛向阳研究员主持。

Brief Introduction of Comrade Li Jie:

李捷同志简介：

Li Jie is President of the Chinese Society of Historians, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Central Marxist Theory Research and Construction Project [2]2 The Central Marxist Theory Research and Construction Project is a major state-led initiative launched in 2004 to develop and standardize Marxist theory education and research in China., and a member of the National Textbook Committee. He has served as Deputy Director of the Party Literature Research Office of the CPC Central Committee, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and President of *Qiushi* Journal. His main research fields include the history of the CPC, the history of the People's Republic of China, the life and thought of Mao Zedong, the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and the adaptation of Marxism to the Chinese context. He is the author of *Mao Zedong's Historical Contributions to New China*, *Mao Zedong and the Internal and Foreign Affairs of New China*, *How the New Leap in Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context Came About*, etc. He has served as chief editor of multiple collections of CPC documents, including *Selected Important Documents Since the Founding of the Party*, and is one of the principal writers of *A Biography of Mao Zedong*.

李捷，中国史学会会长、中央马克思主义理论研究和建设工程咨询委员会委员、国家教材委员会委员。曾任中央文献研究室副主任、中国社会科学院副院长、《求是》杂志社社长。主要研究领域为中共党史研究、中华人民共和国史研究、毛泽东生平和思想研究、中国特色社会主义理论体系研究、马克思主义中国化研究。著有《毛泽东对新中国的历史贡献》《毛泽东与新中国的内政和外交》《马克思主义中国化新飞跃是怎样到来的》等，主持编辑《建党以来重要文献选编》等多部中共文献资料，是《毛泽东传》的主要撰写者之一。
