Call for Papers for the “9th Forum on Scientific Atheism”

To celebrate the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, review the glorious course of the dissemination and development of Marxist atheist thought in China, summarize the theoretical and practical experience of the Party’s religious work and the propaganda and education of atheism over the past century, as well as the implementation of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s 2016 speech at the National Conference on Religious Work over the past five years, the “9th Forum on Scientific Atheism,” sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ Marxist Theory Discipline Construction and Theoretical Research Project, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ Institute of Marxism, and Nanjing University, is scheduled to be held in Nanjing from June 25 to 27, 2021. This forum is jointly organized by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ Research Center for Scientific Atheism, the Chinese Atheism Society, and the School of Marxism of Nanjing University. The theme of the forum is: “The Centenary of the Communist Party of China and Marxist Atheism.”

为庆祝中国共产党百年华诞，回顾马克思主义无神论思想在中国传播和发展的光辉历程，总结百年来党的宗教工作和无神论宣传教育工作的理论和实践经验，以及五年来贯彻落实习近平总书记2016年全国宗教工作会议讲话精神情况，中国社会科学院马克思主义理论学科建设与理论研究工程、中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院、南京大学主办的“第九届科学无神论论坛”拟于2021年6月25-27日在南京举行。本届论坛由中国社会科学院科学与无神论研究中心、中国无神论学会、南京大学马克思主义学院共同承办。论坛的主题为：“百年中国共产党与马克思主义无神论”。

The forum adopts the principle of “participation based on submitted papers.” [1]1 “以文赴会” (yǐ wén fù huì) is a standard Chinese academic conference phrase meaning that attendance is contingent on submitting an accepted paper, rather than being open to all registrants. Experts and scholars from national research institutions, institutions of higher learning, Party schools, and cadre academies, as well as comrades from practical work departments, are welcome to submit papers and attend. All submitted papers must be new works that have not been published, and should include an abstract, keywords, author biography, and contact information such as mailing address, postal code, telephone number, and email address. The deadline for submission of papers is June 5, 2021. The electronic version of the submitted paper should be sent in Word document format to the forum’s dedicated email address: kxwslluntan@163.com
