The Academic Symposium on “The Centenary of the CPC and the New Stage of Development” and the Launch of the “2020–2021 World Socialism Yellow Book” is scheduled to be held in Beijing on 22 May 2021. The organizers are the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ World Socialism Research Center, the Academy of Marxism, and the Research Center for Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

“中国共产党百年与新发展阶段学术研讨会暨《2020-2021世界社会主义黄皮书》发布会”兹定于2021年5月22日在北京举办。主办单位为中国社会科学院世界社会主义研究中心、马克思主义研究院、习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想研究中心。

This book is the seventeenth in the series “World Socialism Yellow Book: World Socialism Tracking Research Report – Listening to the New Tide in the Valley” [3]3 The phrase “Listening to the New Tide in the Valley” is a poetic reference to the resurgence of socialist thought and movements after the post-1989 downturn. organized by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ World Socialism Research Center.

本书为中国社会科学院世界社会主义研究中心组织的《世界社会主义黄皮书：世界社会主义跟踪研究报告——且听低谷新潮生》系列之十七。

This book collects authoritative, cutting-edge, and representative research results from the World Socialism Research Center for the period 2020–2021. The volume is assembled from eight sections, conducting multi-perspective, deep-level, and comprehensive research and discussion on socialist currents of thought, theories, movements, and systems across the world today. It reflects the latest developments in socialist research and development worldwide, especially in Asia, Europe, and the Americas, and includes many substantial theoretical articles that are beneficial for deepening the exploration and practice of socialist theory. The editors-in-chief are Li Shenming and Jiang Hui.
