Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Institute of Marxism National Conditions Research Wanning Base Established and Inaugurated

On the morning of July 12, the "Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Institute of Marxism National Conditions Research Wanning Base" was formally established and inaugurated. Yang Zhibin, member of the Standing Committee of the Wanning Municipal Committee of the CPC and head of its Propaganda Department, together with Yu Junxiao, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Institute of Marxism, jointly unveiled the plaque for the Wanning National Conditions Research Base. The unveiling ceremony was presided over by Shi Guozhao, Deputy Head of the Municipal Propaganda Department.

7月12日上午，“中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院国情调研万宁基地”正式揭牌成立，海南省万宁市委常委、宣传部部长杨志斌，中国社科院马克思主义研究院纪委书记、副院长于俊霄共同为国情调研万宁基地揭牌，揭牌由市委宣传部常务副部长石国昭主持。

In his address, Yang Zhibin stated that the establishment of the Wanning National Conditions Research Base represents a continuation of cooperation and exchange between the two sides. He expressed gratitude to the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Institute of Marxism for its support of Wanning's ideological work, and noted that Wanning will spare no effort in supporting the Institute of Marxism in conducting national conditions research activities in Wanning. He pointed out that this year marks the centenary of the founding of the CPC. Under the leadership of the CPC, all undertakings in China are displaying an extremely bright prospect. The construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port is in its inaugural year. How Wanning can gain greater strategic initiative amid the tide of development and promote deeper economic and social development requires the strong support and guidance of national-level think tanks. The establishment of the Wanning National Conditions Research Base will help Wanning strengthen ideological and cultural security in its development, and will greatly facilitate Wanning in summarizing practical experience, identifying the crux of problems, and breaking through development bottlenecks.

杨志斌在致辞中表示，国情调研万宁基地的成立是双方合作交流的延续，感谢中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院支持万宁意识形态工作，万宁也将不遗余力支持中国社科院马克思主义研究院到万宁开展国情调研活动。他指出，今年是建党一百周年，在中国共产党的领导下，中国各项事业正在展现出无比灿烂的前景，海南自贸港建设正值启幕之年，万宁如何在发展浪潮中争取到更大的战略主动，推动经济和社会更深层次发展，需要国家级智库的大力支持和指导，国情调研万宁基地的成立，将有助于万宁在发展中加强意识形态和文化安全，同时将大大有利于万宁总结实践经验、找准问题症结、破解发展瓶颈。

Yu Junxiao pointed out that the Institute of Marxism's national conditions research bases are rooted in localities and at the grassroots level, which is of great significance for understanding the economic and social development conditions at the grassroots and summarizing the experiences of local economic and social development. She stated that Wanning possesses the advantages of favorable timing, geographical convenience, and human harmony, and in the future construction of the free trade port, it will inevitably become an important force and a vivid example of Hainan's construction of a free and open free trade port. The establishment of the Wanning National Conditions Research Base is not only a full reflection of the effectiveness of previous cooperation between the Institute of Marxism and Wanning Municipality, but will also serve as an important opportunity for both sides to further promote scientific research cooperation and deepen exchanges. Moreover, it provides a practical platform for scholars of the Institute of Marxism to integrate theory with practice at the forefront of reform and opening up. In the next step, they will leverage and mobilize all their strength to go deep into reality, study and comprehend Wanning's innovative practices, and use their professional expertise to summarize and publicize Wanning's successful experiences. At the same time, they will actively offer suggestions and advice for Wanning's development in the New Era, acting as a runner assisting Wanning's growth, a witness to Wanning's development, and a thinker on Wanning's transformation. They will put forward valuable opinions and suggestions on telling Wanning's story well and helping to enhance Wanning's cultural soft power.

于俊霄指出，社科院马克思主义研究院国情调研基地立足地方，立足基层，对了解基层经济社会发展的情况，总结地方经济社会发展的经验等方面具有重大意义。她表示，万宁有着天时地利人和的优势，在未来自贸港建设方面，也必将是海南建设自由自贸港的重要力量和生动范例。万宁国情调研基地的设立，既是社科院马克思主义研究院与万宁市此前合作成效的充分体现，也将为双方进一步推动科研合作、加深交流起到重要契机作用，更是为社科院马克思主义研究院学者在改革开放的前沿阵地提供了一个理论联系实际的实践平台，下一步将发挥和调动全部力量，深入实际，学习和领会万宁的创新实践，并利用专业所长，总结和宣传万宁的成功经验，同时为新时代万宁的发展积极建言献策，做万宁成长的助跑者，做万宁发展的见证者，做万宁转型的思考者，在讲好万宁故事，助力万宁文化软实力提升等方面提出有价值的意见和建议。
