More Fully Culturally Confident, More Firmly Confident in Rejuvenation

On October 13, 2021, the fourth lecture of the “21st Century Marxism Lecture Hall” was held in the Lecture Hall of the Research Building, No. 1345. The keynote speaker was Yan Xiaofeng, Dean, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor of the School of Marxism at Tianjin University. Gong Yun, Deputy Director and Researcher of the Academy of Marxism at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, presided over the report. The “21st Century Marxism Lecture Hall” is organized by the Academy of Marxism at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

2021年10月13日，“21世纪马克思主义大讲堂”第四讲在科研大楼1345报告厅开讲。主讲嘉宾是天津大学马克思主义学院院长、教授、博士生导师颜晓峰。中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院副院长、研究员龚云主持此次报告会。“21世纪马克思主义大讲堂”主办单位为中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院。

The theme of this report was: “Upholding the Integration of the Fundamental Principles of Marxism with China’s Excellent Traditional Culture — Studying the Spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s ‘July 1’ Important Speech.”

此次报告的主题是：“坚持把马克思主义基本原理同中华优秀传统文化相结合——学习习近平总书记‘七一’重要讲话精神”。

In his report, Yan Xiaofeng proposed that General Secretary Xi Jinping, on the centenary of the founding of the Party, emphasized learning from history to create the future, creatively put forward the "Two Integrations," and in particular explicitly proposed for the first time adhering to the integration of the fundamental principles of Marxism with China's fine traditional culture. This elevates the Party's historical practice to the Party's historical laws, making the Party's practical experience clear, conceptualized, and theorized. This marks a new height and level in the understanding of the Party's historical laws, especially the laws governing the development of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context.

颜晓峰在报告中提出，习近平总书记在建党百年之际强调以史为鉴、开创未来，创造性地提出“两个结合”，特别是第一次明确提出坚持把马克思主义基本原理同中华优秀传统文化相结合，这就是将党的历史实践上升为党的历史规律，将党的实践经验明晰化、观点化、理论化，这标志着对党的历史规律特别是马克思主义中国化发展规律的认识达到一个新高度新层次。

The report specifically expounded and analyzed this theme from the following four aspects: (1) Adhering to the integration of the fundamental principles of Marxism with China's fine traditional culture is an inevitable requirement for adapting Marxism to the Chinese context. (2) The internal basis for the integration of the fundamental principles of Marxism with China's fine traditional culture. (3) The main methods of integrating the fundamental principles of Marxism with China's fine traditional culture. (4) The integration of the fundamental principles of Marxism with China's fine traditional culture forms the theoretical quality and distinctive characteristics of Chinese Marxism.

报告从以下四个方面具体阐释和分析了这一主题：（一）坚持把马克思主义基本原理同中华优秀传统文化相结合，是马克思主义中国化的必然要求。（二）马克思主义基本原理同中华优秀传统文化相结合的内在根据。（三）马克思主义基本原理同中华优秀传统文化相结合的主要方式。（四）马克思主义基本原理同中华优秀传统文化相结合，形成中国化马克思主义的理论品质和鲜明特色。

The report emphasized that the result of the integration of the fundamental principles of Marxism with China's fine traditional culture both preserves the basic nature of Marxism, as it is the development of Marxism in China, and highlights the unique style of China's fine traditional culture, as it is Marxism imbued with China's fine traditional culture.

报告强调指出，马克思主义基本原理与中华优秀传统文化相结合，这一结合的成果既保持了马克思主义的基本性质，是马克思主义在中国的发展；又凸显了中华优秀传统文化的独特风格，是经过中华优秀传统文化浸染过的马克思主义。

The report emphasized that through the integration of the fundamental principles of Marxism with China's fine traditional culture, confidence in the culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics has been greatly enhanced. The major achievements and successes of this integration will make the entire nation and society more fully culturally confident and more firmly confident in rejuvenation.

报告强调指出，马克思主义基本原理同中华优秀传统文化相结合，中国特色社会主义文化自信得以极大增强。马克思主义基本原理同中华优秀传统文化相结合取得重大成就和成功，这就会在全民族全社会更加充满文化自信，更加坚定复兴自信。

The report concluded that creating a new path for Chinese-path modernization and creating a new form of human civilization are new historical tasks with new characteristics and laws. It is necessary to more firmly and consciously adhere to the integration of the fundamental principles of Marxism with China's specific realities and with China's fine traditional culture, opening up new frontiers for adapting Marxism to the Chinese context.

报告总结指出，创造中国式现代化新道路，创造人类文明新形态，是新的历史课题，有着新的特点规律，必须更加坚定和自觉地坚持把马克思主义基本原理同中国具体实际相结合，同中华优秀传统文化相结合，开辟马克思主义中国化新境界。

In his concluding remarks, Gong Yun highly praised the report, stating that it was rigorous and meticulous, profoundly expounding on the internal basis, main methods, and other four aspects of the integration of the fundamental principles of Marxism with China's fine traditional culture, offering important enlightening significance. He emphasized that socialism with Chinese characteristics in the New Era must be a socialism with Chinese style and Chinese manner, a socialism deeply rooted in China's cultural soil and built upon the foundation of over 5,000 years of Chinese civilization.

龚云在总结发言中高度评价此次报告，认为报告严谨、严密，深刻阐述了马克思主义基本原理同中华优秀传统文化相结合的内在依据、主要方式等四个方面的内容，具有重要启迪意义。他强调，新时代中国特色社会主义一定是带有中国风格、中国气派的社会主义，一定是深植于中国文化土壤、拥有中华5000余年文明基础的社会主义。

Since December 2020, the "21st Century Marxism Lecture Hall" has been held three times in succession, inviting comrades such as Li Shenming, Zhu Jiamu, and Li Jie to deliver special reports, with good results and positive responses.

自2020年12月以来，“21世纪马克思主义大讲堂”已陆续开讲三次，先后邀请李慎明、朱佳木、李捷等同志作专题报告，效果好、反响佳。
