Research Office of the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics Holds the Second “Academic Micro-Salon” Seminar

The “Academic Micro-Salon” is a new form of academic seminar explored and developed by the Research Office of the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics. Through the orderly conduct of this activity, it has implemented the requirements of the Party Committee of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences regarding the conduct of academic activities on the day researchers return to their institutes, providing a good platform and operational mechanism for enhancing academic exchange and collaborative cooperation among researchers. On March 3, 2022, our office successfully held the first “Academic Micro-Salon” seminar. On March 17, we held the second session as scheduled.

“学术微沙龙”是中国特色社会主义理论体系研究室探索开展的学术研讨新形式，通过活动的有序开展，贯彻落实了中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院党委关于做好科研人员返所日开展学术活动的要求，为增进科研人员之间的学术交流与协力合作，提供了良好平台和运行机制。2022年3月3日，本室成功举办了第1期“学术微沙龙”研讨活动。3月17日，我们如期举办了第2期活动。

The second “Academic Micro-Salon” seminar featured Yang Binbin as the main speaker. All members of the Research Office of the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics participated in this event, and He Xinyuan, Deputy Director of the Research Department on Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context, provided full guidance throughout the activity as a researcher.

Yang Binbin gave a presentation on the theme “The Multiple Implications of ‘Independence and Self-Reliance’ in the Chinese Political Discourse System,” offering his insights from three dimensions: basic principles, historical experience, and spiritual strength. Members of the research office engaged in in-depth and extensive discussion around the main topic, and exchanged views on forms of output transformation and methods of team collaboration.

杨彬彬以“中国特色政治话语体系中‘独立自主’的多重意蕴”为主题进行了汇报，分别从基本原则、历史经验、精神力量三个维度发表了自己的见解。研究室成员围绕着本次主要议题进行了深入广泛讨论，并就成果转化形式、团队合作方式等进行了交流和探讨。

Shen Yang, Director of the Research Office, provided explanations and arrangements regarding the time planning and work tasks for the “Academic Micro-Salon” seminar. He Xinyuan, Deputy Director of the Research Department, offered comments and shared perspectives on this academic activity, made suggestions for further revision and improvement of the paper, and provided guidance on enriching the long-term development of the “Academic Micro-Salon” seminar.

The “Academic Micro-Salon” seminar is gradually becoming a regular form of activity for the Research Office of the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics. In the future, we will deepen research on basic theories, advance research on frontier topics, and focus on research on major issues. We will persist in reading original works, studying original texts, and comprehending principles. By improving the normalization and long-term effectiveness mechanism of the “Academic Micro-Salon,” we will further promote the effective transformation of research outcomes, strengthen the team awareness and collective consciousness of office members, and demonstrate the unique advantages of collaborative research.

“学术微沙龙”研讨活动逐渐成为中国特色社会主义理论体系研究室的常态化活动形式。今后，我们将深化基础理论研究、推进前沿课题研究、聚焦重大问题研究，坚持读原著、学原文、悟原理，通过完善“学术微沙龙”的常态化、长效化活动机制，进一步推进研讨成果的有效转化，强化研究室成员的团队意识和集体意识，展现合作研究的独特优势。
