Research Office of the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics Holds the 3rd “Academic Micro-Salon” Discussion Activity

Deeds speak louder than words; substance triumphs over ostentation. The “Academic Micro-Salon” is an academic discussion activity explored and carried out by the Research Office of the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics under the Department of Research on Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context. At present, this discussion activity has formed a normalized operational mechanism. The Research Office on the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics conducts discussions based on the research directions of its members, current hot topics, classic issues, and so forth. It held the 1st and 2nd “Academic Micro-Salon” discussion activities on March 3, 2022, and March 17, 2022, respectively. On April 6, 2022, we successfully held the 3rd activity.

行胜于言，质胜于华。“学术微沙龙”是马克思主义中国化研究部中国特色社会主义理论体系研究室探索开展的一项学术研讨活动，目前本研讨活动已经形成常态化运行机制。中特室根据本室成员的研究方向、当前热点、经典议题等展开研讨，分别于2022年3月3日和3月17日，举办了第1期和第2期“学术微沙龙”研讨活动。2022年4月6日，我们成功举办了第3期活动。

The 3rd “Academic Micro-Salon” discussion activity was led by Chen Yalian as the main speaker. All members of the Research Office of the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics participated in this activity. He Xinyuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Research on Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context and Researcher, actively supported the regular holding of discussion activities and provided full guidance for this activity.

Chen Yalian gave a report and explanation under the title “Some Reflections on Establishing a United Front for Ideology in the New Era.” He presented his views from four aspects: the essence of the united front for ideology, the relationship between “unity” and “plurality” in the ideological sphere, the historical experience of the cultural united front, and leading various social trends of thought under the banner of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. In particular, he deeply analyzed the practical significance, historical logic, and construction path of this concept and idea. Members of the Research Office engaged in extensive and in-depth discussion around the main topic. Qin Yicheng, Peng Haihong, Meng Qingyou, and Yang Binbin spoke in turn, presenting views on the distinctions and connections among related concepts of this topic, the scope of application of the united front for ideology, cases from Chinese history and culture, and other aspects, and put forward several suggestions for revising the paper. At the same time, members of the Research Office exchanged views and discussed forms for transforming the results of this topic.

陈亚联以“关于建立新时代意识形态统一战线的若干思考”为题进行了汇报和讲解，他分别从意识形态统一战线的本质、意识形态领域“一”与“多”的关系、文化统一战线的历史经验、在中华民族伟大复兴的旗帜下引领各种社会思潮四个方面发表了自己的观点，特别是深入分析了这一概念和理念的现实意义、历史逻辑与建构路径。研究室成员围绕着本次主要议题进行了深入广泛讨论，秦益成、彭海红、孟庆友、杨彬彬先后发言，围绕着本主题相关概念的区别联系、意识形态统一战线的应用范围、中国历史文化案例等方面发表了观点，并就论文修改提出了若干建议。与此同时，研究室成员围绕着这一主题的成果转化形式等进行了交流和探讨。

Shen Yang, Director of the Research Office, offered commentary around the significance of the topic selection, the structure of the article, and so forth, and put forward several suggestions for revision. He Xinyuan, Deputy Director of the Research Department, offered commentary and shared viewpoints on this academic activity, fully affirmed the importance and innovativeness of this topic, combined the content of existing results to propose suggestions for revising and improving the article and forms for transforming results, and put forward suggestions for enriching the long-term development of the “Academic Micro-Salon” discussion activity and the research directions of the Research Office members.

By formulating activity arrangements and making full use of the regular office day to hold activities on a regular basis, the Research Office of the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics has made the “Academic Micro-Salon” discussion activity a normalized form of activity for the Office. In the future, we will further enrich the activity content, innovate activity forms, improve activity mechanisms, integrate relevant academic resources and team advantages, continue to deepen basic theoretical research, advance research on frontier topics, and focus on research on major issues, striving to produce more academic results through the complementary advantages of the Research Office members.

中国特色社会主义理论体系研究室通过制定活动安排，充分利用返所日定期开展活动，使得“学术微沙龙”研讨活动已经成为本室的常态化活动形式。今后，我们将进一步丰富活动内容、创新活动形式、完善活动机制，整合相关学术资源和团队优势，继续深化基础理论研究、推进前沿课题研究、聚焦重大问题研究，在推动研究室成员优势互补中争取形成更多的学术成果。
