The Research Office of the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics Holds the 4th “Academic Micro-Salon” Discussion Activity

On 20 April 2022, the Research Office of the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics under the Research Department of Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context and the Needs of the Times held the 4th “Academic Micro-Salon” discussion activity. This activity continued the basic format of previous activities, conducting integrated research and mutual assistance discussions by combining the research directions of office members with major topics. The 4th “Academic Micro-Salon” discussion activity was led by Meng Qingyou as the main speaker. All members of the Research Office of the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics participated in this activity. He Xinyuan, Deputy Director of the Research Department of Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context and the Needs of the Times, strongly supported the regular holding of discussion activities and provided guidance for this activity.

2022年4月20日，马克思主义中国化研究部中国特色社会主义理论体系研究室举办了第4期“学术微沙龙”研讨活动，本期活动延续前期活动开展的基本方式，从本室成员研究方向和重大课题的结合中进行融合式研究和互助式探讨。第4期“学术微沙龙”研讨活动由孟庆友担任主讲，中国特色社会主义理论体系研究室全体成员参加了本次活动，马克思主义中国化研究部副主任贺新元大力支持定期开展研讨活动，对本次活动进行了指导。

Meng Qingyou gave a detailed report and in-depth explanation on the topic “The Independent and Self-Reliant Characteristics of Law-Based Governance under the Leadership of the Party.” He expounded his views from the perspectives of the challenges faced by modern and contemporary Chinese rule of law, the connection between the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the independent and self-reliant characteristics of China’s law-based governance, and the basic stages and internal logic of China’s rule-of-law construction. In particular, he deeply analyzed the historical significance and contemporary value of adhering to the principle of independence and self-reliance in China’s rule-of-law construction, deeply analyzed the deep-seated roots of the autonomy of China’s rule-of-law construction, and listed several examples to elaborate on this issue in a flexible and vivid manner.

孟庆友以“党领导下的依法治国的独立自主特征”为题进行了详细汇报和深入讲解，他分别从近现代中国法治所面临的挑战、中国共产党的领导与中国依法治国的独立自主特征之间的关联、中国法治建设的基本阶段与内在逻辑等方面阐明了自己的观点。特别是深入分析了中国法治建设坚持独立自主原则的历史意义和现实价值，深入分析了中国法治建设自主性的深层根源，并列举了若干实例，以灵活生动的方式对这一问题进行了详细阐述。

After the explanation concluded, the office members engaged in extensive and in-depth discussion around the core topic and related themes. Qin Yicheng, Chen Yalian, Peng Haihong, and Yang Binbin spoke in succession. Everyone unanimously affirmed the topic of this activity and offered suggestions on the significance of the paper’s topic selection and the key points for revising existing research results.

讲解结束后，研究室成员围绕着本次核心议题和相关主题进行了深入广泛讨论。秦益成、陈亚联、彭海红、杨彬彬先后发言，大家对本次活动的主题作出一致肯定，并围绕着论文的选题意义、现有研究成果的修改重点等提出了建议。

Shen Yang, Director of the Research Office, shared viewpoints around the salon’s theme, particularly offering corresponding revision suggestions from the perspective of the background of the topic selection and the article’s structure, arguing that the core issue should be further focused to reflect a response to practical problems. He Xinyuan, Deputy Director of the Research Department, provided commentary and shared viewpoints on this academic activity, fully affirming the important significance of examining the course of China’s law-based governance from the perspective of independence and self-reliance. He offered several revision suggestions regarding the article’s structural adjustment, logical organization, and discourse expression, and made suggestions on promoting the long-term development of the “Academic Micro-Salon” discussion activity, accelerating the transformation of related outcomes, and expanding the research directions of office members.

Through holding this activity, office members further recognized the value of conducting the “Academic Micro-Salon” discussion activity. They believed that not only did they gain many revision suggestions during the topic explanation, but also that focusing on the core topic and conducting divergent discussions had a certain enlightening significance for each member. In the future, the Research Office of the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics will further enrich activity content, innovate activity formats, improve activity mechanisms, integrate relevant academic resources and team advantages, continue to deepen basic theoretical research, advance cutting-edge topic research, and focus on research into major applied policy issues, continuously improving the overall research capacity of the office through mutual assistance, mutual learning, and mutual emulation.

通过举办本次活动，本室成员对开展“学术微沙龙”研讨活动的价值进一步认可，认为不仅在主题讲解中收获了诸多的修改意见，而且能够通过聚焦核心主题并进行发散式探讨，对每个成员都具有一定的启发意义。今后，中国特色社会主义理论体系研究室将进一步丰富活动内容、创新活动形式、完善活动机制，整合相关学术资源和团队优势，继续深化基础理论研究、推进前沿课题研究、聚焦重大应用对策问题研究，在互帮互助、互学互鉴中接续提高研究室的整体研究能力。
