Call for Papers: Academic Forum on “The Successful Experience of the CPC’s Century-Long Struggle and the Adaptation of Marxism to the Chinese Context”

In order to welcome the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC, to deepen theoretical research and the propaganda and interpretation of the century-long glorious course of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context, and to strengthen academic exchange among researchers nationwide in the field of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and in the field of research on socialism with Chinese characteristics, it is planned to hold the Academic Forum on “The Successful Experience of the CPC’s Century-Long Struggle and the Adaptation of Marxism to the Chinese Context” in Qingdao, Shandong, from July 1 to 3, 2022. The holding of the forum will be determined in light of the epidemic situation.

为迎接党的二十大胜利召开，深入学习贯彻党的十九届六中全会精神，深化马克思主义中国化百年光辉历程的理论研究和宣传阐释，加强全国马克思主义中国化研究工作者、中国特色社会主义研究工作者的学术交流，拟定于2022年7月1日—3日在山东青岛举办“中国共产党百年奋斗的成功经验与马克思主义中国化”学术论坛。论坛召开视疫情变化确定。

The forum is jointly organized by the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Qingdao University of Technology. The theme of the forum is “The Successful Experience of the CPC’s Century-Long Struggle and the Adaptation of Marxism to the Chinese Context.” This forum, integrating the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC, continuously deepens the understanding of “the Two Establishments” and “the Two Integrations,” [1]1 “The Two Establishments” refers to the establishment of Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole, and the establishment of the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. “The Two Integrations” refers to the integration of the basic tenets of Marxism with China’s specific realities and with the best of traditional Chinese culture. centers on the glorious course and historical experience of the CPC’s century-long struggle, further explores the essential laws, contemporary manifestations, and innovative connotations of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context, and accumulates materials that can serve as reference for continuing to advance along the path of Chinese-path modernization and for providing better development for the new form of human civilization.

论坛由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院与青岛理工大学联合举办。论坛的主题是“中国共产党百年奋斗的成功经验与马克思主义中国化”。本次论坛结合党的十九届六中全会精神，不断深化对“两个确立”“两个结合”的理解，围绕中国共产党百年奋斗的光辉历程及历史经验，进一步探索马克思主义中国化的本质规律、时代表现、创新内涵等，积累沿着中国式现代化道路继续前进、为人类文明新形态更好发展提供可资借鉴的资料。

The forum is hosted by the Department of Research on Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context of the Academy of Marxism of CASS, the School of Marxism of the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the School of Marxism of Qingdao University of Technology, and co-organized by such journals as *Studies on Marxism*, *World Socialism Studies*, the journal *Frontline* of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC, and *Shandong Social Sciences*.

论坛由中国社科院马研院马克思主义中国化研究部、中国社科院大学马克思主义学院、青岛理工大学马克思主义学院承办，由《马克思主义研究》《世界社会主义研究》、中共北京市委《前线》杂志、《山东社会科学》等期刊杂志协办。

We are now soliciting academic papers nationwide. Experts, scholars, teachers, and other teaching and research personnel in the research fields of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and socialism with Chinese characteristics are welcome to attend the forum by submitting papers. The relevant matters concerning the call for papers are hereby notified as follows:

现面向全国征集学术论文，欢迎马克思主义中国化、中国特色社会主义等研究领域的专家、学者、教师等教研人员以文赴会。现将征文有关事项通知如下：

I. Forum Theme: “The Successful Experience of the CPC’s Century-Long Struggle and the Adaptation of Marxism to the Chinese Context”

一、论坛主题：“中国共产党百年奋斗的成功经验与马克思主义中国化”

II. Forum Time: July 1 to 3, 2022 (the specific time may change depending on the national epidemic prevention and control situation)

二、论坛时间：2022年7月1日至3日（根据全国疫情防控状况具体时间可能会有变化）

III. Forum Location: Qingdao City, Shandong Province

IV. Relevant Notes: The conference will not charge any registration fee; meal expenses during the conference will be borne by the organizers; transportation and accommodation expenses are to be borne by the participants themselves.

V. Conference Format: The conference will adopt a combination of “online + offline” methods depending on the epidemic prevention and control situation.

六、论文写作及投稿要求

1. Manuscript Requirements: Adhere to the correct political direction, closely follow the theme, with substantial materials and sufficient reasoning, highlighting academic quality; must be the result of independent research, not previously published; length should be around 6,000–9,000 characters, accompanied by 3–5 keywords and an abstract of no more than 300 characters; citations and historical materials should be accurate and rigorous, with sources indicated (format should follow *Shandong Social Sciences*); at the end of the text, please include the author’s brief biography, email address, phone number, and WeChat ID.

1.文稿要求：坚持正确的政治方向，紧扣主题，材料翔实，说理充分，突出学术性；必须是独立研究的成果，此前未公开发表；篇幅以6000-9000字为宜，并附3-5个关键词和300字以内的内容摘要；引文和史料准确严谨，并请注明出处（格式请参照《山东社会科学》）；文末请附作者简介、电子邮箱、联系电话、微信号码等信息。

2. Submission Method: Please send the electronic version of the paper (WORD version: school name + author name + article title + Sinicization Forum) to the email address: mkszyzgh2022@163.com. Please do not submit paper copies.

3. Deadline: June 10, 2022. After preliminary selection by the forum preparatory group, experts will be organized to review the papers. By the end of June, authors of selected papers will be invited to join a WeChat working group, and an invitation letter to attend the forum will be sent within the group.
