Mao Zedong Thought Research Office Holds Mid-Year Promotion Meeting on Office and Discipline Construction

To better advance the work of the research office and discipline construction, on the morning of June 22, the Mao Zedong Thought Research Office held a mid-year promotion meeting on office and discipline construction. All members of the Mao Zedong Thought Research Office attended the meeting. On the basis of each person’s report and presentation, the meeting deeply summarized the work and discipline construction situation of the research office in the first half of 2022, and planned and arranged various work tasks for the second half of the year. Zhu Jidong, researcher and director of the Mao Zedong Thought Research Office, presided over the meeting; He Xinyuan, researcher and deputy director of the Department of Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context, was invited to attend.

毛泽东思想研究室召开研究室及学科建设年中推进会

Researchers of the Mao Zedong Thought Research Office, including Zhu Jidong, Wang Yonghao, Yu Xiaolei, and Yang Junfeng, each reported on the completion status of the various work tasks they undertook in 2022, particularly providing a detailed introduction to the writing progress of the volume *History of Mao Zedong Thought* under the current Academy Innovation Engineering key project *History of the Development of Marxism*. They also discussed their respective work plans for the second half of the year and the expected quantity of academic achievements to be completed. From the summary situation, members of the research office had already published multiple papers in core journals such as *People’s Tribune* and *Journal of China Executive Leadership Academy Jinggangshan* in the first half of the year. As chief experts, they successfully applied for and established a major project of the National Social Science Fund to research and interpret the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC[1]1 The Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC was held in November 2021 and adopted a landmark resolution on the Party’s historical achievements and experiences.. As responsible persons, they smoothly advanced key projects of the National Social Science Fund, general projects of the National Social Science Fund, later-stage funded projects of the National Social Science Fund, and major projects of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ Marxist Theory Research and Construction Project. Base construction was deepened and advanced, and key research tasks were completed smoothly.

毛泽东思想研究室朱继东、王永浩、于晓雷、杨俊峰等研究人员各自汇报了2022年度承担的各项工作的完成情况，特别是对当前正从事的院创新工程重点项目《马克思主义发展史》的《毛泽东思想发展史》卷的写作进度进行了详细介绍，并谈了下半年的各自的工作计划及预期完成的学术成果数量等。从总结情况看，研究室成员上半年已经在《人民论坛》《中国井冈山干部学院学报》等核心期刊发表多篇论文，作为首席专家成功申请并立项研究阐释党的十九届六中全会精神国家社会科学基金重大项目，作为负责人承担的国家社会科学基金重点项目、国家社会科学基金项目、国家社会科学基金后期资助项目、中国社会科学院马克思主义理论研究和建设工程重大项目等顺利推进，基地建设深化推进，重点科研任务完成顺利。

After summarizing the research office’s work in the first half of the year and planning various tasks for the second half, all comrades of the Mao Zedong Thought Research Office reached a consensus: they must, in accordance with the plans and arrangements of the Academy of Marxism, complete the writing task of the volume *History of Mao Zedong Thought* under *History of the Development of Marxism* with guaranteed quality and quantity. In the second half of the year, they will continue to persistently carry out the “Rereading Selected Works of Mao Zedong” reading group activities, deeply advance project research, actively increase pressure on themselves in academic theoretical research, strive to produce more scientific research achievements, and further advance discipline construction work by continuously consolidating the foundation of academic research.

经过对上半年研究室工作的总结和对下半年的各项工作的筹划，毛泽东思想研究室全体同志形成共识：务必要按照马研院的计划安排，保质保量地完成《马克思主义发展史》的《毛泽东思想发展史》卷的写作任务。下半年继续持续开展“重读毛选”读书会活动，深入开展课题研究，在学术理论研究上主动加压，争取出更多科研成果，以不断夯实学术研究的基础进一步推进学科建设工作。

At the same time, the meeting also made further arrangements for the preparatory work of the Ninth Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Forum on Mao Zedong Thought, to be held in early September, as well as discipline research and other matters.

同时，会议还对将在9月上旬举行的第九届中国社会科学院毛泽东思想论坛的会议筹备工作以及学科调研等做了进一步安排。

During the process of listening to everyone’s presentations, researcher He Xinyuan offered comments on the work of the Mao Zedong Thought Research Office and each person’s scientific research situation, providing very good guiding suggestions. In his final summary speech, He Xinyuan also gave guidance on the organizational preparation of the Ninth Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Forum on Mao Zedong Thought in the second half of the year, the continued development of the “Rereading Selected Works of Mao Zedong” reading group activities, and the preparatory work for the *General Academic History of Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context*. He expressed the hope that the Mao Zedong Thought Research Office would strive to play an exemplary role in publishing papers in core journals and completing key tasks, aiming to welcome the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the CPC[2]2 The 20th National Congress of the CPC was held in October 2022, a major political event that set the Party’s direction for the following five years. with more and more solid academic achievements.

在听取大家发言的过程中，贺新元研究员针对毛泽东思想研究室的工作及每个人的科研情况进行了点评，提出了非常好的指导建议。在最后的总结发言中，贺新元又对下半年第九届中国社会科学院毛泽东思想论坛的组织筹备情况、“重读毛选”读书会活动的持续开展及《马克思主义中国化学术通史》的准备工作等给予了指导，希望毛泽东思想研究室在核心期刊论文发表、重点任务完成等方面努力发挥好表率，争取以更多更扎实的学术成果喜迎党的二十大胜利召开。
