[1]1 “Act with solid work to open up new prospects, strive vigorously to write a glorious chapter” (实干笃行开新局，踔厉奋发谱华章) is a pair of parallel four-character phrases typical of Chinese political rhetoric, emphasizing practical action and determined effort. At a time when the entire Party and the entire people are deeply studying, propagating, and implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, on November 5, 2022, the Ninth Forum on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and Theoretical Seminar on Studying the Spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, jointly hosted by the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Research Center for Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, was convened in Beijing and Kunming in a combination of online and offline formats. The aim was to deeply study, propagate, and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, to deeply research and elucidate Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and to promote the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC to take root, blossom, and bear fruit through solid and effective work. The forum was co-organized by the Research Department of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Academy of Marxism of the Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, the Yunnan Provincial Demonstration Base for Studying, Propagating, and Implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and the Editorial Department of Studies on Marxism. Over 70 experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Tianjin University, provincial and municipal Party schools, academies of social sciences, and other universities and research institutions attended the forum, engaging in in-depth exchanges and discussions around the forum’s theme, “A New Leap in Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context and the Needs of the Times.”

实干笃行开新局，踔厉奋发谱华章。在全党全国人民深入学习宣传贯彻党的二十大精神之际，2022年11月5日，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院、中国社会科学院习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想研究中心、云南省社会科学院联合主办的第九届习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想论坛暨学习党的二十大精神理论研讨会在北京、昆明两地以线上线下相结合的方式召开，旨在深入学习贯彻党的二十大精神，深入研究阐释习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想，以扎实有效的工作推动党的二十大精神落地生根、开花结果。论坛由中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想研究部、云南省社会科学院马克思主义研究院、云南省学习宣传贯彻习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想示范基地、《马克思主义研究》编辑部共同承办。来自中国社会科学院、云南省社会科学院、北京大学、中国人民大学、天津大学、各省市党校、社会科学院等高校和研究机构的70多名专家学者与会，围绕本届论坛主题“马克思主义中国化时代化新的飞跃”展开了深入交流研讨。

Secretary Xin Xiangyang delivered a keynote report titled “Grasping the New Form of Human Civilization from Multiple Dimensions.” He emphasized that the new form of human civilization should be understood from the perspective of socialism with Chinese characteristics, accurately grasping that the new form of human civilization is a form of socialist civilization with Chinese characteristics characterized by the coordinated development of the five major civilizations of socialism; [2]2 The “five major civilizations” (五大文明) refer to the five dimensions of socialist development: economic, political, cultural, social, and ecological civilization. it should be understood from the perspective of Chinese-path modernization, accurately grasping the three major features of the new form of human civilization: peace, human rights, and significant advantages; it should be understood from the perspective of the exchange and mutual learning among world civilizations, accurately grasping the colorful, diverse, and pluralistic nature of civilizations, and grasping the laws of civilizational development through inclusiveness, exchange, and mutual learning, without using a single yardstick as the standard for measuring civilizations.

辛向阳书记作了题为“多维度把握人类文明新形态”的主题报告。他强调，要从中国特色社会主义的角度来理解人类文明新形态，准确把握人类文明新形态是社会主义五大文明协调发展的中国特色社会主义文明形态；要从中国式现代化的角度来理解人类文明新形态，准确把握人类文明新形态具有的和平、人权和显著优势这三大特征；要从世界文明交流互鉴的角度来理解人类文明新形态，准确把握文明的多彩性、多样性、多元性，要在兼容并蓄、交流互鉴中把握文明的发展规律，不能用一把尺子作为衡量文明的标准。

The afternoon agenda of this forum set up four sub-forums, conducted in groups via Tencent Meeting. The attending experts and scholars engaged in full discussion and lively exchange around four themes: opening up new horizons in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times, advancing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese-path modernization, comprehensively building a modern socialist country, and deeply advancing the great new project of Party building in the New Era. They put forward some enlightening insights and viewpoints, achieving fruitful results.

本次论坛下午的议程设置了四个分论坛，以腾讯会议分组进行。与会专家学者分别围绕开辟马克思主义中国化时代化新境界、以中国式现代化推进中华民族伟大复兴、全面建设社会主义现代化国家、深入推进新时代党的建设新的伟大工程等四个主题进行充分讨论与热烈交流，提出了一些富有启发的见解和观点，取得了丰硕成果。
