2022 International Communist Movement Situation Seminar and International Communist Movement Yellow Book (2022-2023) Expert Guidance Meeting Successfully Convened

On December 31, 2022, the 2022 International Communist Movement Situation Seminar and International Communist Movement Yellow Book (2022-2023) Expert Guidance Meeting was successfully convened online. Nearly 50 participants, including experts and scholars from more than ten universities and research institutes such as the Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC (National Academy of Governance), the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the International Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Central China Normal University, Yunnan University, and Shandong University, as well as members of the International Communist Movement Yellow Book Editorial Committee and its authors, attended the meeting.

2022年12月31日， 2022年国际共运形势研讨暨国际共运黄皮书（2022-2023年）专家指导会以线上形式顺利召开，来自中共中央党校（国家行政学院）、中国社会科学院、中共中央对外联络部、上海社科院、华中师大、云南大学、山东大学等十余家高校、科研院所的专家学者、国际共运黄皮书编委会成员和作者近50人参加会议。

The content of this meeting was divided into two parts. The first part invited experts and scholars in the discipline of the international communist movement to deliver keynote reports on the situation of the international communist movement in 2022. The second part involved authors of the 2022-2023 International Communist Movement Yellow Book elaborating on the content of their draft special reports, followed by one-on-one commentary and guidance from experts.

本次会议内容分两个部分。第一部分邀请国际共产主义运动学科的专家学者围绕2022年国际共运形势作主旨报告，第二部分由2022-2023年国际共运黄皮书作者就专题报告初稿进行内容进行阐述，之后请专家一对一进行点评和指导。

Xin Xiangyang, Researcher and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, as well as Director of the International Communist Movement Yellow Book Editorial Committee and Editor-in-Chief, first delivered an opening address. Lin Jianhua, Professor and Vice President of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, as well as Deputy Director of the International Communist Movement Yellow Book Editorial Committee, presided over the leadership address and expert keynote report session.

In his opening address, Researcher Xin Xiangyang pointed out that the convening of the 20th National Congress of the CPC [1]1 The 20th National Congress of the CPC refers to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, held in October 2022, which set the political direction for the Party and the country in the New Era. was the most significant event in China and even the world in 2022, serving as the fundamental guideline for our observation of the international communist movement situation this year. Chinese-path modernization answers the questions of China, the world, and the times. In 2022, the international communist movement and world socialism exhibited many new circumstances and new characteristics. As experts and scholars in the discipline of the international communist movement, we must strengthen historical confidence and grasp historical initiative, including historical confidence in the history of the international communist movement. In our research, we should enhance our problem awareness and closely focus on major practical issues. Adhering to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as the theoretical guidance, and combining disciplinary characteristics and analytical perspectives, we should analyze major hot-button issues concerning the international landscape that occurred this year, review major events at historical junctures of the relevant international communist movement, summarize the new achievements of socialist countries' reform and development in the world in 2022, sort out the important activities of communist parties, workers' parties, and the left in capitalist countries, and especially analyze and discuss the new developments of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a New Era and their impact on world socialism, forming results that are unique, pioneering, and leading. It is hoped that under the guidance of the experts, the International Communist Movement Yellow Book published next year will achieve greater progress!

辛向阳研究员在致辞中指出，中共二十大的召开是2022年中国乃至世界最为关注的重大事件，是我们观察本年度国际共运形势的根本遵循。中国式现代化回答了中国之问、世界之问和时代之问。2022年国际共产主义运动和世界社会主义出现许多新情况、新特点。作为国际共产主义运动学科的专家学者，我们要坚定历史自信，把握历史主动，包括国际共产主义运动史的历史自信，在研究中应增强问题意识，紧密关注重大现实问题。坚持以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为理论指导，结合学科特点和分析视角，对本年度发生的事关国际格局的重大热点问题进行剖析、对相关国际共运历史时点上的重大事件进行回顾、对2022年世界上社会主义国家改革发展新成就进行总结、对资本主义国家的共产党、工人党和左翼的重要活动进行梳理，尤其是对新时代中国特色社会主义的新发展及其对世界社会主义的影响进行分析和研讨，形成具有独特性、开创性和引领性的成果。希望在专家们的指导下，明年出版的国际共运黄皮书取得更大进步！

Professor Hu Zhenliang from the Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC (National Academy of Governance) spoke on the theme "The Worldview and Methodology for Judging the Situation of the International Communist Movement"; Researcher Chai Shangjin from the International Department of the Central Committee of the CPC on "Viewing the World Significance of Chinese-path Modernization from the Perspective of Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context and the Needs of the Times"; Researcher Xuan Chuanshu, Party Secretary of the Graduate School of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, on "Gaining the Initiative Amidst Major Changes"; Professor Cui Guitian, Director of the Institute of Contemporary Socialism at Shandong University, on "The World Socialist Significance of the 20th National Congress of the CPC"; Professor Yuan Qun, Vice Dean of the School of Marxism at Yunnan University, on "The Direction of the Nepalese Communist Movement After the General Election"; and Professor Yu Weihai, Director of the Research Center for Foreign Political Parties at Central China Normal University, on "The Unity, Debate, and Struggle of Communist Parties Outside China in the Context of the 2022 Russia-Ukraine Conflict." Professor Lin Jianhua, Vice President of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, submitted a report titled "The Theory and Practice of Chinese-path Modernization Is a Great Innovation in the History of Socialist Development" to the meeting.

来自中共中央党校（国家行政学院）胡振良教授以《研判国际共运形势的世界观方法论》、中共中央对外联络部柴尚金研究员以《从中国化时代化视角看中国式现代化的世界意义》、上海社会科学院研究生院党委书记轩传树研究员以《在大变局中赢得主动》、山东大学当代社会主义研究所所长崔桂田教授以《二十大的世界社会主义意义》、云南大学马克思主义学院副院长袁群教授以《大选后尼泊尔共产主义运动的走向》、华中师范大学国外政党研究中心主任余维海教授以《2022年俄乌冲突中国外共产党的联合、争论与斗争》为主题分别发言，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院副院长林建华教授向会议提交了《中国式现代化理论与实践是社会主义发展史上的伟大创举》的报告。

In the expert commentary and guidance session, Researcher Pan Jin'e, Director of the International Communist Movement Department of the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Editor-in-Chief of the International Communist Movement Yellow Book, and Researcher Tan Xiaojun of the same department, successively presided over the presentations. The authors of the various special reports of the International Communist Movement Yellow Book briefly introduced the writing ideas, main content, and issues they hoped the experts would help resolve. Seven guiding experts provided commentary on each special report and offered suggestions for improvement. Zhu Debin, Associate Researcher from the Social Sciences Academic Press, responsible for the publication of the International Communist Movement Yellow Book, also gave brief commentary and emphasized the writing standards for the Yellow Book. Finally, Researcher Pan Jin'e, Editor-in-Chief of the International Communist Movement Yellow Book, gave a brief summary of the meeting, expressed sincere gratitude to the guiding experts for their meticulous guidance, and requested that the authors further refine their reports according to the experts' commentary and revision suggestions, so that the 2023 Yellow Book can be published smoothly.

在专家点评和指导环节，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院国际共运部主任、国际共运黄皮书主编潘金娥研究员，中国社会科学院马克思主义研究院国际共运部谭晓军研究员先后主持发言，各位国际共运黄皮专题报告的作者先后简要介绍了报告写作思路、主要内容和期待专家帮助解决的问题。七位指导专家分别对各位专题报告进行点评并提出完善建议。负责国际共运黄皮书出版事宜的社会科学文献出版社祝得彬副研究员也做了简要点评，并强调了皮书的写作规范。最后，国际共运黄皮书主编潘金娥研究员对本次会议进行简要总结，对各位指导专家的悉心指导表示诚挚感谢，并要求各位作者按照专家的点评和修改意见进一步完善报告，以便2023年黄皮书能够顺利出版。
