Chinese-Path Modernization and Theoretical Innovation in Political Economy – Call for Papers for the 33rd Annual Conference of the China Association of Political Economy

The summarization of the theory of Chinese-path modernization is a major theoretical innovation of the 20th National Congress of the CPC.[1]1 The 20th National Congress of the CPC was held in October 2022; it formally introduced “Chinese-path modernization” as a key theoretical concept. To strengthen research and interpretation of Xi Jinping’s economic thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a New Era, to conduct in-depth research on the theoretical issues of Chinese-path modernization, and to further promote theoretical innovation in political economy, the 33rd Annual Academic Conference of the China Association of Political Economy is scheduled to be held on May 13–14, 2023, in Zhengzhou, Henan. The conference is hosted by the China Association of Political Economy and Henan University, organized by the School of Economics and the School of Marxism of Henan University, and the Research Center for Marxist Economic and Social Development of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and co-organized by the Central Plains Development Research Institute of Henan University, the Research Center for Yellow River Civilization and Sustainable Development, and the editorial offices of *Political Economy Research*, *World Review of Political Economy*, and *Shanghai School of Economics*.

中国式现代化理论的概括是党的二十大的一个重大理论创新。为加强习近平新时代中国特色社会主义经济思想的研究和阐释，深入研究中国式现代化的理论问题，进一步推动政治经济学理论创新，拟于2023年5月13-14日在河南郑州召开中国政治经济学学会第33届学术年会。会议由中国政治经济学学会与河南大学主办，河南大学经济学院和马克思主义学院、中国社会科学院马克思主义经济社会发展研究中心承办，河南大学中原发展研究院和黄河文明与可持续发展研究中心、《政治经济学研究》、《World Review of Political Economy (世界政治经济学评论)》、《海派经济学》等编辑部协办。

I. This conference takes “Chinese-Path Modernization and Theoretical Innovation in Political Economy” as its theme, with a focus on the following topics:

II. Submission Requirements:

二、稿件要求：

(1) The theme should be prominent, the argument rigorous, reflecting academic quality and innovation.

（一）主题突出、论证严密，体现学术性和创新性。

(2) Citations should be standardized, quotations accurate, with footnotes at the bottom of each page, renumbered on each page.

（二）注释规范，引文准确，注释采用页下注，每页重新编号。

(3) Papers should be in WORD document format, main text in Song font size 5, subheadings in boldface small size 4, with 1.5 line spacing. The main text of the paper should be 10,000 to 12,000 characters, preceded by an abstract (approximately 350 characters), keywords (3–5), author biography, and detailed contact information (mailing address, phone number, and email).

（三）论文采用WORD文档版式，正文宋体5号字，文中小标题用黑体小4号，1.5倍行距。论文正文以10000至12000字为宜，文前附内容摘要（350字左右）、关键词（3-5个）、作者简介及详细联系方式(通信地址、手机号和邮箱)。

III. This conference will establish a sub-forum for postdoctoral researchers and graduate students. Postdoctoral researchers and enrolled graduate students interested in Marxist political economy research are welcome to submit papers.

三、本次会议将设立博士后和研究生分论坛，欢迎有志于马克思主义政治经济学研究的博士后研究人员和在读研究生踊跃投稿。

IV. The organizing committee will send formal invitations to selected authors by May 6.

四、会务组将于5月6日前向入选的作者正式发出参加会议的邀请函。

V. Selected papers will be compiled into a conference proceedings volume and published by Economic Science Press. Excellent papers may be recommended to journals such as *Political Economy Research*, *Contemporary Economic Research*, *Shanghai School of Economics*, and *World Review of Political Economy*.

五、入选论文将择优编入会议论文集由经济科学出版社出版。优秀论文可推荐给《政治经济学研究》、《当代经济研究》、《海派经济学》、《World Review of Political Economy》等期刊。
